Great stand but...

I loved my Oh Snap before hand. So naturally I wanted the newest one. This stand is amazing. Still light weight, ultra thin, and support convenient. Unfortunately, where it lost me is that it doesn’t have MagSafe charging. Sucks having to take it on and off every night. I know, 1st world problems but had I known it wasn’t supported, I would have kept my older one.

First off I own a bunch of snap grips. My favorite thing is that the magnets are really strong. I never dropped my phone even with my carpel tunnel. Not so much with this version. The outer ring is just a tad bit thicker than the magnetic snap grip. This causes other magnetic ring accessories (like wallets, fidgets, lights, camera handles, and tripods) to detach, potentially causing damage to the phone. But if just using the grip by itself, it’s fine. It would be nice if the stand part could extend so it would possible to access the usb-c port and plug in headphones while using the stand.

Cheap feel and bad stand

The inner white part looks very cheap... this wouldn’t be the worse problem, but the stand itself doesn’t have anything for you to get a grip and open it to use... it was not a good experience.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought one for me and my husband. He didn't ask for one, but I didn't want him to feel left out. He rolled his eyes when I first gave it to him, but now he doesn't know how he lived without it!

This is the most useful add on for my phone. Only negative is if you have it on a case that has a smooth back (e.g. otterbox magsafe case that does not have a rubberized back) if you drop your phone the snap grip will fall off. I have two phones both have otterbox magsafe cases one is the defender pro case and has the rubberized back, this works great for that phone i would give it a 5 out of 5, the other is a lesser case that is also magsafe but does not have rubber exterior. For that case it allows the ohsnap to move a little and if you drop your phone it will fall off for that case I would give a 3 out of 5.
