Incredibly useful to a degree, the little stand works great doesnt fold up while using it to prop up my phone. The area inside where the flex part connects to to outer flat "coin" seems weaker than the model before it, it's already cracked in less than 2 weeks use which isnt something that's ever happened with prior models. The only real downside and why its not getting used at all anymore is that when you use the Snap Car mount, the same new addition that made me get this model, doesnt let the magnets hold on right. Any little jolt or jump while driving under normal road conditions, or even touching the screen lightly while using navigation makes the phone drop unexpectedly. More than disappointed in not being able to use it reliably while driving seeing as past models reliability is the reason I keep buying from this brand. Hope any newer model doesnt have the stand made out of the same materials so it doesnt interfere with the magnets. Meanwhile ive resorted to using an old PopSocket which is much more bulkier but I cant have my phone dropping mid drive.
As much as I like the stand aspect of the grip, I don’t like the grip at all! The old version was so much better. I put 1 finger in the middle of the grip and it scratches me. I’m going back to the old version without the stand. - Lisa
Everything about this ticks the right boxes, It's easier to move than the gecko goo versions, it has a stand, it's new and shiny. But... The grip itself doesn't self park, you have to push it back into place, and the mag-safe-ness of it is substantially less "positive" than my OG Snap Grip. It doesn't index or hold as strongly to my car and desk mounts (also both Snap products). It's going to get relegated to my work phone and the OG goes back on my personal one.
I have been using pop sockets for years, and was excited for this given both the slimness and the stand. Unfortunately, I’m a bit disappointed. The pop out part feels super flimsy, and I worry it’s going to break soon. As someone with larger fingers, it’s also tight, and I can’t use it without putting my finger through the gap. I can’t open it with one hand like I did with a popsicle because I often don’t know if my finger is lined up with the gap where your finger is supposed to go. The stand itself works well, but it has a bit of a nails on the chalkboard sound and feel when opening it because the inside edge of the stand rubs on the main magnetic part (metal on metal). So, overall it’s okay but needs work, and I probably wouldn’t buy it again until some adjustments are made.
It's super sleek, I can't even tell it's got a stand on it when it's in my pocket. It does everything you could want from a stand. Want to stick it on something metal? Magnet. Want to stand it upright to read an email/text? Stand. Want to have it horizontal so you can watch a video? Hidden plastic piece. Want to use it like a pop socket? Finger placement when the middle is popped out. It hits all the points of what someone would want. Highly recommend!
I have been using oh snap grips since 2023 but I saw this new one and thought “how cool” but I am very disappointed. I have always raved about the quality of the magnet and just how strong it is to all my friends and family but this new stand has let me down so badly. The magnet won’t even stay on my wireless charger I have mounted on my windshield. With one slight bump it falls off when before, with the oh snap grip, it was even difficult to remove when I got out of the car.
