Almost worth upgrading from my previous magsafe ring

Doesn't swivel around the magnet like I was expecting and since the hinge sticks out when it is sideways for landscape use I have to basically remove it and put it back on every time I want to rotate it. It would almost be perfect if it would swivel around the magnet, the only other issue is the stand has so little surface area on a table when in use it has almost no friction so it moves all over when you touch the screen.
I bought this for the grip mainly and thought the stand might be helpful...I use the stand so much!it’s really handy and still so compact. Being removable and magnetic is a nice plus. Great product.
On my last phone I had a great, cheap, case that had a built in stand similar that worked similar to this. However, it wouldn't charge on a mag-safe charger (like my car). I was SO excited when I got a new phone and needed a new case, so I could get a regular, non-stand case, and add the Snap Grip Stand. This way when charging in my car I could just snap the stand off instead of taking off the case. That works. However, I didn't realize that the stand does not work with magsafe chargers either. So, every night, I have to take the stand off and remember to put it back on in the morning. Also, the stand is advertised as being thinner than my camera bump. I'd say it's exactly the same height (when using it without a case, the phone sits flat and can't be wobbled.) However, with my case, the stand is higher than the camera bump, meaning if I put the phone down on that side, I risk scratching the stand or the surface it's on. I wish I'd tried it with the case before buying the case.
I've had most ohsnap iterations since the first silicone covered metal band. This is the first that's disappointing. Wireless charging doesn't work with the Anker qi2 charger and the magnet isn't quite strong enough to stop an iphone 17 promax from sliding down a metal surface. It feels like a step backwards from the snap grip 4 I had which beats this besides not having the stand, it didn't have to come off to charge and when you put it somewhere it wouldn't budge on its own. Hopefully the stand 2 will be an improvement. The stand function is nice though.
The adjustable stand is awesome and firm. The pop socket thing is kind of awkward and it doesn't fold flat. But I didn't buy a popsocket! I wanted a great magnetic phone stand and I got one! Would buy again!
