Not for Magsafe

I bought this, my second try at an ohsnap product. First one had a super-strong magnet (probably too strong), but attached to the case of my iPhone 17 Pro, it felt off balance. The “stand” functionality only worked sideways, so I returned it. When i saw this new model, i was super excited because it could not stand vertically. When it arrived, i was pleased with the stand and the better balance of the phone. But when I tried to connect it to every one of my three MagSafe chargers, it was weak and poorly aligned and only occasionally did it charge, never fast and never reliably. When I reached out to support they acknowledged the issue and advised me to remove the stand before charging. That is not what i expected to hear. So I’m returning this one too.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've truly enjoyed my time with the Ohsnap grip stand. It's thin, functional and the double magnets are a major plus.

I have been an Ohsnap fan since the very beginning, even participating in the Kickstarter campaign. They have been trying very hard to produce the ultimate phone grip. Each version had a noticeable improvement, but also a drawback.The 4th gen was a true leap - but the closing mechanism didn't last long (3 months in my case).The 5th gen - the current one - promised to resolve that issue - I ordered 3, and my first one started to break down, so I am not very convinced with the resolution.Outside of durability, it is indeed the best phone grip. That being said, the 4/5th generation had a flaw - the stand mode didn't work as well as previous versions. It is so light and thin that it will understandably affect the stand-abilty.Finally - with this 5th Gen Grip-Stand version, that issue is resolved - this new stand mechanism is not just great, it's better than anything else I've tried.It does add some weight but not enough to be problematic.And it is very sturdy - the only question is, will the mechanism give in similar to the Grip in 2 -3 months?To be determined.

Nice design

Product is nice like the new design but I feel the magnet is lacking in strength compared to the original design. Doing some off road trails in my truck not that aggressive and it fell off my magnet mount. Also fell off when I did an aggressive launch from a red light. Will probably go back to the old one sadly.

Purchased the OhSnap grip stand grip, and am surprised how easy it was to install as it’s magnetic and attached to my MagSafe IPhone 17 pro max with ease. Not only does it serves as a stand to watch movies and Youtube, it also serves as a stand to take photos, you can adjust your shot and set your camera timer and voila you have a photographer when there’s no one to take your photo 🤷🏽

love ohsnap products and the grip stand works great! knocked a star off only because it seems to not magnetize onto the ohsnap car mount as well as my previous snap grip.

I’ve been a loyal Ohsnap Grip 3 user for a long time, and honestly, when the Grip 4 came out, I didn't feel the need to upgrade since the features seemed pretty similar. But when I saw the ads for this new version with the integrated stand? It was an immediate "take my money" moment.What I’m loving:The Stand: It works at pretty much any angle, and most importantly, it actually holds up vertically.The Feel: It’s super simple and light.Wireless Charging: It actually works!A few things to note:I did have to switch to a frameless iPhone case to make sure the wireless charging worked smoothly (it helps keep the distance short). Also, the magnet doesn’t feel quite as "snappy" as my old Grip 3, so I have to be a little more careful when I’m aligning it.Honestly, though? I’m totally fine with those trade-offs. I’m just crossing my fingers that the hinge stays strong over time, but for now, this is the perfect setup. If you’ve been hunting for a solid vertical stand, this is definitely it!
