I have been a long time oh snap user and have loved the grips since the first generation. My only issue is with this one is the color. I ordered the orchard and from the original email I received, and I checked it on multiple devices, the orchird looked more purple than blue. I purchased on the website and it was a darker blue. The packaging it is showing a lavender purple tone grip. If I were to purchase this in a store with the way, the packaging is and the coloring is on the packaging I would not be happy opening the package and seeing a blue grip. I highly recommend to get the packaging updated but would love a dark purple version to be created.
I wasn’t too sure what to expect with this as it’s my first ohsnap product. The initial unboxing was beautifully presented and delivered a premium experience. And that’s just the box! The stand itself, feels well built. I will say, I thought this had the capability to charge while still on the device. It does not. That’s my fault for not reading, so I’ll have to order another one just for that reason. Enough about me though! The stand itself pops out and has a decent amount of heft that gives you confidence that your phone will stand tall and proud; no matter the moment. The cap has me questioning existence... is it metal.. it is plastic?! Whatever it is, while so thin and sleek feels like it has the strength to deal with the most finicky digits. Then we get to the the legs under the cap. These things remind me of a water glider waiting to whisk my finger to a land of fidgeting fantasy. While the fit is snug on my grubby sausages, it doesn’t feel like any of the parts are under strain. Taking it for a spin isn’t quite the smoothest experience I thought it might have but has a bit of resistance which actually entices me to spin it again and again. Over all this sleek little phone friend is a welcome addition. My life will never be the same.
Once I saw this released I jumped at the preorder. I've been a fan of the grip for years now, but always felt the stand was lacking. I'd keep other stands in my bag in case I needed one. I can't speak to the durability, but initial impressions of this grip stand are amazing. The grip feels identical to the ohsnap5. The hinge on the stand feels like the perfect tension. Hopefully that holds up, but if it doesn't, I've had good experiences in the past with support for a broken grip. Using this with a naked iPhone Air, the thickness is about the same as the plateau not including the camera lens. I saw people online commenting about the lack of pass through charging. I was curious if this was similar to past grips, where it might work but they can't guarantee it(and therefore can't advertise pass through charging). This is the case again. I am able to wirelessly charge through this stand just like I was with the ohsnap5. This is going to be my new daily driver. The only thing I'd change is the color. A white one to match the white iPhone Air would be end game accessory. Great work ohsnap team!
I just received the new Snap Grip Stand, and it completely blew away my expectations.I’ve been using the original Snap Grip for a couple of years and absolutely love it. I’m someone who fidgets with it all day, every day, and it has never broken or had a single issue. It’s easily one of the best phone accessories I’ve ever owned. So when the new Grip Stand came out, I had to try it. It basically takes everything great about the original and makes it even better. It’s just as slim, has the same comfortable finger grip options, and the built-in stand is incredible. The magnet strength is also unbelievable. It’s easily the strongest magnetic connection I’ve ever seen on an iPhone accessory. Once it snaps on, it’s not going anywhere. Zero worry about it falling off.I was honestly a little skeptical about how sturdy the stand would be, but that concern disappeared immediately. It feels extremely premium and durable, and it holds the phone perfectly. This product is the complete package. If you already like the Snap Grip, this is a no-brainer upgrade. And if you’ve never tried one before, start here. It’s easily the best phone grip/stand on the market, and it’s not even close.
This advertised a slick way for me to use this grip for viewing in both portrait and landscape and made the point to mention that it is very compatible with Android phones despite having specific designs for iPhones. However, the install kit for Android phones comes with an adhesive ring that fixes the grip stand into one position permanently. The ability to rotate from vertical viewing to horizontal is only possible with Apple because it is attached to the phone only using an easily removable magnet. This is blatant misrepresentation in advertising. I'll be asking for a refund.
This thing is mostly amazing. Issue: opening the stand portion is a real struggle, unless you have nails or small hands. There needed to be a lip or something to grab it. Once you get it though. Impeccable.
