Clarity and great features

Just got this in, I have the Rode Mic USB/XLR version paired it up with this wave XLR MK.2 and going from USB (Which already sounded good) to XLR was night and day difference, I can totally hear the clarity with this Wave XLR Mk.2. And the fact that it has a tap to much bottom ( Since the rode panic USB/XLR don’t have one was just an amazing quality of live bonus when streaming. Love it.

Terrible marketing.

Terrible marketing from Elgato. The Wave XLR MK.2 does not support PlayStation 5, even though the previous one did, and they said nothing about this in their marketing materials. They even advertised the Wave XLR Pro to have this feature, but never spoke of it that the Wave XLR MK8.2 does not.
I’d be careful buying this. The sound is good, and the features work okay with my Macintosh computer, but the software feels a bit glitchy. The audio from the mic to the headphones cuts in and out sometimes and sounds off. Also, I think the headphone output is quite low even on high power, so I'm not sure this really could drive some real big-ohm headphones. I’m not sure I’d keep this, but I’m pretty disappointed about the PS5 support.

Wave XLR MK.2 is built for Mac and PC, where its Wave FX Processor, VST Inserts, and Wave Link 3.0 integration can run at their full capability. PlayStation 5 only recognizes a specific class of USB audio devices, and an interface as feature-rich as Wave XLR MK.2 sits outside that scope. That's a platform-side restriction set by the console, not a hardware choice on our end. We understand that's not the answer you were hoping for.
What does deserve a closer look is the audio cutting in and out and the headphone output struggling with your high-impedance headphones. Wave XLR MK.2 was built around a strong onboard amp and a clean signal path, so that behavior is worth investigating. The upgrade if you have an MK1 is a must in my opinion. Wave Fx is too good to be true. I can confidently export my audio and it's ready to go.
