Great TV

I carefully researched TV brands in advance of buying a new one. I was impressed that Roku created the operating systems for several brands prior to starting their own. The Roku reputation was great, in that the operating system was easy to set up and use. I bought a 48 inch Roku for my 97 year old mother and she loves it. The simplicity of the operation is perfect for someone her age. When my 10 year old TV gave out last month, there was no doubt that I would buy a Roku for myself. The 55 inch I got is wonderful. I have it connected to my laptop via an HDMI cable and use my mouse to control everything. The Roku screen is much better than the laptop, being brighter and with vibrant colors. I feel that buying the Roku was a good decision and would recommend the brand.

Perfect fit for my needs

I got my first Roku streaming box over 10 years ago because I found typical TV bundles were full of things I didn't watch and therefore weren't cost efficient or satisfying. About 6 years ago I switched to a Roku streaming stick. In both cases I was happy with the product. But a year and a half ago I switched to a TCL Roku TV. I was happy enough until the TV itself developed a main board problem; out of warranty, but a bit premature I would think. At that point I decided to go all Roku and I'm really pleased. The video quality is better and the sound output through my "old school" speakers is wonderful. I watch a lot of international series and subscribe to a short list of channels that changes according to my interests and/or special offers so Roku is ideal. That said, I've only had this TV for a month so I can't yet attest to longevity. But for quality at a fair price point, Roku is perfect for my needs.

I grew up in a radio/tv repair shop. I repaired tvs with vaccumb tubes as big as a man's fist and before color tvs.ROKU IS THE ABSOLUTELY THE SMARTEST AND CLEAREAST TV I'VE EVER SEEN. THATS WHY I HAVE 4 ROKUS IN MY HOUSE AND BOUGHT MY 2 GRANDCHILDREN EACH A ROKU FOR THEIR ROOMS AT HOME.

My 80 yo mim moved in with us. We cut the cord long ago, so needed a tv for her that was easy to navigate through our streaming services. This unit is super intuitive, great quality, and great price. Mom is happy😁

This one is a keeper!

In March of this year, I bought a Samsung 43” “smart” TV. Turns out, it wasn’t so smart, and neither was I for buying it. But we needed a new TV and it was a good deal. After fighting with that thing for 5 months, I gave up and bought what I SHOULD have bought in the first place! We’ve been using Roku for years now, so we’re all comfortable with it. This TV is everything the Samsung wasn’t. It’s intuitive, it’s a breeze to set up, and I love that we can access our input selections right from the main menu on startup. Instantly. We can add (or remove) remotes from the menu. Super easy. Beautiful picture, and it auto-adjusts to the perfect aspect ratio for whatever input we’re using - gaming, DVD player, or cable TV. It’s perfect. Time will tell its longevity, but for right now, I’m extremely happy with it.
