The HD CRT TV that the Samsung replaces was considered state of the art 10 years ago. I was a bit reluctant to replace it but felt that the LCD flat panels were finally close to the black level and dynamic range inherent in CRT sets. I chose the Samsung based on reviews and my own research. Maybe I'm lucky, but the major panel uniformity issues - corner 'flashlights' and clouds - is not as noticeable as I was led to believe for my particular set. But still, at low IRE there are uniformity errors that are quite visable, banding in particular - an ongoing issue with all of these ultra thin sets. I've had it professionally calibrated - it needed it. Even though the presets present a pleasing picture, it is in no way accurate. The calibration results - near perfection for grayscale, gamma, and color space. Thank you Samsung. Now, if you can only fix the unformity errors, I'd give the set a 10, but my rating is an 8.5.
Very nice slim led tv, colors are great, blu-ray movies are Fantastic with hdmi 1080p. I like how my samsung sorround sound links so i only have to use on control
Cons: takes time to adjust color display of your choose
I would recommend this to a friend!
