Good basic Fridge, but could use some design changes

By and large a good, basic refrigerator. I agree with a previous reviewer that a dairy compartment in the door would be a good addition, as would be a light in the freezer, both of which my old fridge had. What irks me, though, is the door. According to a repair man who came out from the store where I bought the appliance, the door design has been changed to a spring-loaded version, which will stop at about a foot out if you don’t give the door a good push. The “auto-close” function is largely useless as a result, as the door stops itself long before it gets to the 5 inch distance. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve pushed the door closed, then looked back a minute or two later to see it hanging open. Very irritating!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator is basic, but nice. I failed to notice it did not have glass shelves, and not dairy container on the inside of the door - both of which I like and would prefer to have again.

Great Refrigerator!

The controls are easy to use and there's plenty of shelf space. It's a great refrigerator. I'm very happy with it and highly recommend it.

tough built basic machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the basic Frigidaire top freezer refrigerator about two months ago and received it very shortly after that. Thanks, Frigidaire for having stock! I purchased it to keep the kitchen appliances all Frigidaire; they are working like champs and I've had fine service from past Frigidaire and Electrolux machines. The refrigerator is exactly what I wanted. The basics, made tough. I've had relatives who have had the very featured featured machines who have had bad experiences with the more complicated features. I wanted heavy duty wire shelves for being able to tolerate cast iron cookware and other heavy cookware. These shelves handle such with ease and without being marred. The crispers are heavy duty as are the side door compartments. They seem more heavy duty than the competition. Thanks to Frigidaire for still making a heavy duty, simple machine. The machine keeps temperature very well, also. I'd buy it again.
