Sadly, a really poor experience with this fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before anything, I need to say that every Electrolux customer service rep I spoke with was terrific, and I’m VERY grateful for their help! Unfortunately, I haven’t had the same experience with Frigidaire refrigerator (s). The first unit I had worked beautifully for six months—quiet, chill, perfect!—then suddenly started making odd noises and almost immediately stopped cooling. Long story short, after several months, three part replacements and half a dozen visits by three different repair companies (all of whom were super and did their best on the work!), Electrolux replaced the refrigerator (aside: I’m quite sure the five months this took was due solely to Covid/supply issues.). The new unit was delivered in February, ‘22 (issues began in September, ‘21) by two very careful, cheerful, awesome delivery people. Wonderful! Except…the second unit arrived with a horrible smell (which, thankfully, after a week and multiple cleanings, disappeared) and the loudest operation I’ve ever experienced. With *any* appliance. Ever. The fan is the biggest offender, and is so loud that it sometimes wakes me (the refrigerator and my bed are at the two opposite corners of my house, separated by an entire floor), but the unit is full of other noises, as well. Squeaks and groans, growling and whining—things I’ve never heard or imagined hearing out of a (especially brand new) machine. Importantly, I don’t expect silent function, and was really surprised and happy at *how* quiet my first fridgedaire was. Clearly, though, quiet operation isn’t a guarantee of problem-free operation. A hard-learned lesson six months into that first fridge… I’ve been holding off writing this review, hoping that, like the smell that arrived with the unit, the sounds would eventually go away. Or reduce, at least. That hasn’t happened, though (it’s now May, 2022). And, worse, I came downstairs this morning to find the foods in the freezer were not quite as frozen as they should be. Frankly, I’m terrified. I’m disabled and on an extremely limited income. The thought of losing hundreds of dollars worth of food—again—and potentially trying to live for months—again—out of a dorm refrigerator (which I felt REALLY fortunate to have!) is scaring the crap out of me. All of that said, the unit looks nice, is easy to clean and maintain, and is simple to adjust in terms of shelving/bins. The only other thing I could wish for is a light in the freezer. These are the reasons I gave the unit two stars. But I could never in good conscience recommend a Frigidaire product. I really wish I could give it the five Stars id give Electrolux CSRs, but, sadly, I can’t.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When our old refrigerator stopped working we knew it was time to replace it. Our kitchen is small and we wanted the biggest refrigerator compatible with the room size. The Frigidaire model we found was perfect. I rated 4 stars not because we only wish it could have been bigger!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the difference in size compared to my old, I have alot more space and my fruits and veggies stay fresh.I also like that there is no handle sticking out .
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm glad I spent the extra money to buy this refrigerator rather than a used one. It is spacious, adjustable, quiet. It keeps our food cooler than our last fridge did. The freezer does not get any ice build up. I would recommend. Only downside is the door does not close on it's own -it has to be intentionally closed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Things seem to be running well but has only been 3 weeks. The only problem is a ice maker this model seems to only except a certain type which is a bit pricey. Not like the other models on the market that will take a universal type of ice maker.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Negatives: Dislike ground clearance, because door scrapes my bare foot, when I open it. Dislike smooth finish, and prefer the orange peel texture that hides fingerprints, I had before. Came with persistent adhesive labels I am still trying to remove without using heavy cleansers or damaging chemicals. Dislike temperature adjustment setting options so far. To keep beverages cold enough for fridge, freezer is too cold to scoop ice-cream, or release ice cube trays, easily. Old model had separate controls Dislike shelf/bin arrangement options. Love it is nice and quiet, and doesn't seem to accumulate puddles at the bottom during auto defrost cycles.
