[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are many features that make this so easy to use. I love the slide out drawer for taller condiments. I love the third drawer that has the option of becoming a freezer. The versatility really makes this unit a real plus for us.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had our Whirlpool less than a month and it stopped running thru the night. All our freezer food was thawed. Thank heaven we bought off a good dealer so we are getting a brand new one. But in meantime they gave a small one just to use till another Whirlpool comes in. Very dissatisfied so far, hope it was just a lemon
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Is the refrigerator located in a garage?
This refrigerator is designed for indoor, household use only. It is intended for use in a location where the temperature ranges from a minimum of 55°F (13°C) to a maximum of 110°F (43°C). Operating the refrigerator outside of the recommended temperature range may result in improper temperatures, temperature fluctuation, and/or the refrigerator not running at peak performance.
Is the room temperature hotter than normal?
The motor will run longer under warm conditions. At normal room temperatures, your motor will run about 40% to 80% of the time. Under warmer conditions, expect it to run even more of the time. Do not install in a location where the temperature will fall below 55°F (13°C).
Is the refrigerator overloaded?
Properly loading a refrigerator is essential for maintaining a consistent internal temperature and ensuring food safety. When items are crowded or pushed directly against the back and side walls, they can obstruct the vents that distribute chilled air, leading to "warm spots" or, conversely, causing items near the vents to freeze. Air must also be able to flow freely between the refrigerator and freezer compartments. Most units use a shared cooling system in which cold air is generated in the freezer and pushed into the fresh food section through vents. If the return air vents are blocked by bulky items, the cycle is broken, which could lead to a warm refrigerator compartment. To optimize performance, it is best to leave small gaps between containers and avoid stacking items too high, so air can circulate freely around each shelf and return to the cooling coils efficiently.
Did the power recently go out?
The Power Outage indicator (on some models) lets you know if the power supply to the refrigerator has been off and the freezer temperature has risen.
The control panel display will read “Power Outage,” and an alert tone will sound 3 times. Touch any button to stop the tone, and touch any button again to turn off the Power Outage icon. Once the power outage has been confirmed, the “Power Outage” icon will disappear, and the display will return to the Home screen.
Do the condenser coils need to be cleaned?
There is typically no need for routine condenser cleaning in a normal home operating environment. However, if the environment is particularly greasy or dusty, or there is significant pet traffic in the home, the condenser should be cleaned every 2 to 3 months to ensure maximum efficiency. Refer to the Owner's Manual for additional information on cleaning the condensers for your specific refrigerator model. Some models do not require the condenser coils to be cleaned, while others can only be cleaned by a certified technician.
Is the cooling function turned On?
If the refrigerator is not cooling properly, check to make sure the Refrigerator is turned on. Some Refrigerators need to be manually turned back on after a power outage or power surge. The Refrigerator could also accidentally be turned off during routine cleaning.

Are the controls set correctly for the surrounding conditions?
Temperature controls are preset at the factory to the "mid setting," which should be correct for normal household use. The controls are set correctly when beverages are as cold as you would like.
If you need to adjust the temperature, wait at least 24 hours between adjustments and then recheck the temperature.
To make the Refrigerator colder, adjust the control to the next higher setting. To make the Refrigerator less cold, adjust the control to the next lower setting.
Repeat this process until the desired temperature is reached

Is the refrigerator in the "showroom" or "demo" mode?
This mode (on some models) is used only when the refrigerator is on display in a retail store. The interior lights will turn on, but the refrigerator and freezer sections will not cool. If you unintentionally turn on Showroom mode, the word “Showroom” will light up on the display (on some models). The sequence for exiting showroom mode varies by model, so please refer to your Owner's Manual.
Was the refrigerator recently installed?
If the refrigerator was recently installed, check the following items:
Allow 24 hours for the freezer to reach proper temperatures
Check to ensure the freezer door seals properly; removing any missed packaging material or rearranging bins may be necessary.
Has a large amount of food or beverages been added to the refrigerator?
Adding a large amount of food or beverages warms the refrigerator or freezer. It can take several hours for the refrigerator temperature to stabilize after adding a large number of warm items.
Has the door been opened often?
Try to get everything you need out of the refrigerator at once. Keep food organized so it's easy to find, and close the refrigerator as soon as the food is removed.
Be aware that the refrigerator will warm when the door is opened often and for long periods.
Opening the door often also allows excess moisture into the refrigerator, potentially creating frost or condensation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is difficult to find enough space for tall items. Also, not enough surfaces for all the things that need to go into a fridg. The two draws on the left side require that both doors be open to pull them out; would have been so much better if only the left door would only need to be opened. Too. it would be better to have a "stop-making" key for the ice trays rather than an auto stop when filled.

Horrible refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has got to be one of the worst refrigerators on the market. The left hand door will not stay open at all and the frig is level. It is almost impossible to get anything out of that side unless the door is blocked open. To add insult to injury, the left door has to be open to get anything out of the crispers. Terrible. The in the door icemaker sounds like a jet engine taking off. I can honestly say, I have never heard an icemaker make that kind of noise, not to mention how loud it is. We went back to the store where we bought it and tried other brands with the icemaker in the door and Whirlpool was the only one that would not stay open. I personally am not very thrilled with the layout as I think there is a lot of wasted space, but that is just my opinion and has nothing to do with the problems discussed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great design, organization, and function

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love everything about this fridge! ... the French doors, the middle flex drawer that can convert to a refrigerator or freezer space--which is a genius idea, the large bottom drawer freezer, the wide space on the top shelves, and the flexible organization, etc. The outside door water fountain and ice dispenser are space-age cool and work like a charm--really well-designed. Also love the size/depth of this model. We needed a counter-depth because our refrigerator space is just inside the pass-through between the kitchen and dining room, so we couldn't have it sticking out into the walkway. Our old fridge was too deep, and with the handles, it was a serious design error on the original kitchen designer's part to spec that model for that space! It protruded about 10 inches into the walkway, which looked so unattractive, not to mention very annoying. Our problems are solved with this lovely handle-less, counter-depth model! It's so sleek and modern and looks great with our other Whirlpool and Maytag appliances. The no-fingerprint-showing stainless steel is amazing. It truly wipes clean, and you see nothing on the sleek stainless, which has a nice understated, not-too-bright-or-shiny finish. We've had this new refrigerator for about 3 weeks and have been really happy with it so far. Definitely recommend this one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros/Cons: I had two LG's delivered with dents and the third delivered didn't cool properly, the refrigerator temp ranged from 42 to 50, and wasn't in a defrost cycle, the outer door stayed at 47. So, this Whirlpool was spot on, 37 in fridge, 37 in deli drawer, and 2 degrees in freezer. However, when delivered, the "door ajar" light stayed on. I found the freezer door sensor wasn't working so had to remove the outer door and right hinge mount, reconnected the door sensor, and that seemed to work. Also, the left refrigerator door does not stay open like the right side. Something is wrong with the hinge/cam where it doesn't raise/lower the door so it stays fixed while you get what you need out of the fridge. I have a service call for next week. Ok, the cooling, organization, accessibility, and capacity for a counter depth are just fine...as is the upper and lower ice makers. The top crushed ice is a bit spotty, some don't get crushed, is messy, and can even bind the motor, but we don't really use this function. Overall, we like the fridge once they get the left door cam replaced/fixed.
