I think the value of HP 61XL High Yield Black Original Ink Cartridge is steal compared to what you pay in stores. The quality of the product is superb, you get twice the amount of ink compared to others. Ordering is very easy and the staff will help if needed.

I purchased the high yield thinking I would get more pages, I was wrong, about 50 pages in I’m already getting a low ink reading, not worth the extra cash!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi,

I'm sorry that your ink seems to have been used up too quickly. You normally should have gotten a lot more pages with the XL version of the cartridge.

There are a lot of variables to consider though. High-density prints will use up a cartridge rapidly, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry. Also, black is used a lot in almost every single print job.

Using the draft and black only settings on your printer helps save ink. Also, shutting the printer down between uses can help. However, you always have to use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer 'park' itself so that the cartridges are protected from excess drying.

If it was a genuine cartridge and the expiration date (on the cartridge) has not passed, you are always free to contact us: hp.com/contactHP
