Great return process

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung was extremely helpful when we had an issue with our 9‑month‑old TV. It stopped working and wouldn’t turn on. I contacted Samsung, and they seemed aware of the problem with that particular model. They guided us through the refund process, which went smoothly. We used the refund to purchase a new Samsung—this time a 2026 model—and it works perfectly. We love it.

Beautiful image, mediocre setup/implementation

The excellent ============== I was blown away by the image and sound quality (I paired it with the HW-990H soundbar setup). This panel is definitely brighter than my decade-old Samsung UN55JS8500) with a wider color gamut. The QSymphony audio settings are pretty amazing -- making me want to re-watch old movies just to see how good they sound.
The recommended ultra-slim mount really lives up to its name -- it makes the TV hang so close to the wall that you'd think it was bolted directly down.
The mediocre ============== Setup was cumbersome -- needing to install an app and configure an online profile just to order a TV seemed a bit much, and overall intrusive. I had to do some online research to find out how to maximize my privacy and turn off all of the unwanted features (that I could).
The minimalist remote control for the TV has a few nice touches (like having solar cells to recharge its battery). It also has a few glaring omissions, like a mute button, and an input toggle.
The bad ============== The user interface is overwhelming -- I don't need to be bombarded with ads, suggestions on what movies to watch or games to play. There should be a pared down option to just have your show your available source inputs, as well as the apps you have installed.
The TV is slow on the pickup to content from the various inputs. The S95H only has 3 HDMI ports available if you choose to go the HDMI eARC route to connect the sound bar. If you've got a few gaming consoles and/or other devices, you're going to need a switcher or an AV receiver in order to handle the overflow. When switching from one input source to another via the switcher, the TV takes a good 10+ seconds to go from displaying source 1 to showing "no source available" to switching over to source 2. This is something that never happened with my older Samsung TVs configured in the same manner (with a switcher)
The neither here nor there ============== The TV's aesthetic design could be considered a "choice" -- one that you really like or not. I personally don't think that the silver-gray frame that the OLED panel sits atop is necessary -- it does little more than increase the TV's footprint for the same 54.6" diagonal panel.

Response from Samsung USBy Samsung Specialist, July 13, 2026
Hi WufPup,
We appreciate you sharing your thoughts on Samsung's S95H. Some of the functions you mentioned are already built into the SolarCell Remote. For example, the Volume rocker can be pressed once to mute, moved up or down to adjust the volume, or pressed and held to open Accessibility Shortcuts. The Return button can also be used to return to the previous screen or the last channel viewed.
Additionally, the 123/Settings button in the upper-left corner of the remote serves as the Quick Settings button. Repeatedly pressing it cycles between Quick Settings, the number pad, and the color keys, providing quick access to commonly used Settings, Sources, and other menus/features.
You may also find the TV's built-in Learn TV Remote guide helpful. This feature walks through the layout and purpose of each button on the remote. While enabled, pressing any button (except Power) will have the TV announce its name and function without affecting normal TV operation. To enable it, navigate to Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Accessibility > Learn TV Remote. To exit, press the Return button twice.
While the S95H includes four built-in HDMI ports, it's also Wireless One Connect Box ready. If you find yourself needing more than the four already available, adding the Wireless One Connect Box provides four additional HDMI ports, allowing up to eight HDMI connections in total. You can purchase the Wireless One Connect Box here: https://www.samsung.com/us/tv-accessories/wireless-one-connect-box-sku-vg-swch6tk-za/
Lastly, regarding the responsiveness you've experienced, please verify that your TV is running the latest software version. Using the remote, press the 123/Quick Settings Key (below Power) > All Settings > Support > Software Update
You may also improve responsiveness by running the built-in Device Care feature, which helps optimize system performance by clearing cached data, managing memory usage, and closing unnecessary background apps: Quick Settings Key > All Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care
We hope these tips help! Should you have questions or need further assistance, please reach Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun). LiveChat agents are also available through the ‘Support’ link on our website.
