Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got rid of our old Samsung tv because we could not find a good remote replacement. So we bought a new one. We are very disappointed with the sound quality...hard to understand dialog most of the time and the picture quality is not as good as our old tv set.

To start, ensure you're getting the latest sound performance improvements by, checking for any available firmware updates. To do so, follow these steps: Home > top directional key > Settings > Support > Software Update
If the sound still doesn’t meet your expectations after updating, there are several settings that can be customized to better suit your preferences:
• Sound Mode & Expert Settings: Choose from preset Sound Modes or manually adjust bass, treble, and balance to better suit your preferences. Go to: Home > top directional key > Settings > All Settings > Sound > Sound Mode or Expert Settings
• AI Mode: Enable AI Mode to let your TV intelligently optimize sound based on your environment and content. This includes features like:
o Adaptive Sound: Analyzes room acoustics and content in real time
o Adaptive Volume: Maintains a consistent volume level over time
o Active Voice Amplifier: Enhances dialogue when ambient noise is detected
If you're looking to enhance your overall audio experience, consider adding a Samsung S- or Q-Series Soundbar (such as the HW-900H). These models feature Q-Symphony, which allows the TV and soundbar speakers to work together for an immersive, 3D audio experience with center channels for optimal content dialogue.
With picture quality, select a Picture Mode that best fits your environment: Home > Home > top directional key > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
1. Standard – Default mode for general viewing
2. Dynamic – Brighter and clearer in well-lit rooms
3. Eco – Optimized for energy saving
4. Movie – Best for watching in dark environments

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Samsung R85H has completely transformed my living room into a vibrant, high‑brightness home theater. The first thing you notice is the incredible brightness — this TV cuts through daylight effortlessly, keeping every scene punchy and clear even in a room with lots of windows. HDR content looks fantastic, with highlights that really pop.
The Micro‑RGB backlight delivers sharp, saturated color that feels almost three‑dimensional. Reds, greens, and blues have a richness you don’t normally see on standard LED sets. Everything from sports to movies looks crisp, vivid, and full of depth.
Pairing it with my Samsung Q‑Series soundbar takes the experience to another level. Q‑Symphony blends the TV’s speakers with the soundbar, creating a wider, fuller front soundstage. Dialogue becomes clearer, effects feel more immersive, and the whole setup feels perfectly synchronized — like the TV and soundbar were designed to perform as one.
Overall, the R85H is a bright, colorful, and beautifully balanced TV that shines even more when paired with a Samsung soundbar. It’s a fantastic upgrade that makes everyday viewing feel cinematic.

Best tv I’ve ever owned

Love it for my sports, I’m a huge hockey fan along with football and baseball they all look amazing. I’ve paired it with my Samsung sound bar that I had purchased a couple of years ago and I’m shocked how much better the sound is with this tv paired with the sound bar. This tv is well worth the money and a huge upgrade from my older Samsung tv I had for several years.

Too bright colors
