Adequate for routine beating

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this thinking 5 speeds would be more than I needed for routine mixing and beating. I did not find it as strong/powerful as the Cuisinart it had previously.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wished I had more speeds than the last KitchenAid hand mixer I had. So less is not good! I only replaced my previous one because the "special" beater broke which did not make me happy. I was not going to pay ANYthing to replace it and looked at second hand stores to find one but the only ones I found where the ones without the extra piece on them so I relented and bought a new mixer - trying for weeks to find one with MORE speeds but could only find 5 (so TWO less) speeds! I LOVE my PINK Artisan stand KitchenAid mixer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Friend commended. She is an amazing cook and has burned out 3 mixers before this one. I find it easy to put in the blenders, it maintains speed even with thick batter, it is easy to clean. It's basic but that is what I needed. I have a big mixer but I don't use very often.
