[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The television runs cool, looks great ,. Unfortunately it has a junk remote , easily misplaced and fragile. The software on the television is a turtle in comparison to what I thought 2026 software would perform. Television offers many good games movies and applications but many can't perform under hardware specs , take multiple paid subscriptions, are not compatible but advertised, the controls feel manipulated beyond the basic haptics of a remote layout.. the television turns onto random things when powered on just depends on the day. Very strong internet connection but still choppy connection uncertain of issue Only one USB port and three HDMI ports. Give me more power and less waste.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Michael bridges ii,
We appreciate your feedback on the U8000H TV. For optimal performance, please ensure your TV is running the latest firmware. You can check this by going to: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Software Update
To further optimize performance, try running Device Care, which checks memory, clears unused cached data, and closes background apps: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care
If you are noticing buffering issues during streaming we recommend the following steps to help improve streaming performance: 1. Use a 5GHz Wi-Fi connection, if available 2. Try a wired LAN connection for more stability 3. Reposition your router to minimize obstacles between it and the TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a Samsung 55" TV that I have had for years, and I was looking to go a little larger in prep for the World Cup and College Football, but the newer model did not deliver like the older model that I had. Sadly, the color saturation, the reflection of natural light, and the overall picture were underwhelming, and I decided to stay with my older 55". I will wait to upgrade when I can afford one of the more expensive models as I do like the Samsung product but this one just did not perform like I thought it would.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The brightness on this TV is hard to adjust we do not need it to be at full brightness at night. I tried adjusting and it does not dim really at all. Our last Samsung did this automatically. I also wish it would be on the last channel I was watching when we turned it off instead of having to go thru app screen every time when we turn it on. Sleep timer takes several clicks to get to as well (in settings). Old Samsung sleep timer was on the remote not in settings.

Hi bwaxx55,
We appreciate your review. Please know there are multiple settings available, such as Brightness Optimization, which measures the light in your room and optimizes the brightness of the TV automatically to reduce power consumption.
To enable this feature, go to Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > Brightness Optimization.
Next, please know you can customize what your TV does at startup by adjusting the Start Screen Options.
To do this, navigate to: Settings > All Settings > Advanced Features > Start Screen Option and choose from the following: 1. Start with Smart Hub Home – Automatically launches Smart Hub when the TV is turned on. You can enable or disable this option based on your preference. 2. Autorun Samsung TV Plus – Automatically launches Samsung TV Plus when the TV is turned on. If this option is turned off, the last used source will be displayed instead. 3. Autorun Multi View Casting – If you cast YouTube content from your mobile device, the TV will automatically display the content using Multi View. 4. Autorun Multi View Mirroring – When you screen mirror your mobile device, Multi View will automatically open to show your device’s screen. 5. Autorun Last App: The last used app is automatically run when you turn on the TV. You can turn this function on or off. Press the Select button at the current menu
We hope these tips are helpful. If you need any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun), or reach us via text anytime. Hi loving retirement,
Thank you for sharing your experience. If your TV powers on but you’re seeing a black screen, it could be caused by your external device or the connection itself. Please try the following steps to help determine the cause: 1. Press the Home button on your Samsung remote. – If the menu appears, the TV is powered on but may be on the wrong source or not receiving a signal. – If the menu does not appear, the TV may be experiencing power issues. 2. Check the red standby light near the bottom of the screen. – The light is on when the TV is off (standby), and off when the TV is on. – If the light is off and there’s no menu or picture, the TV may not be receiving power. 3. Check your input source. – If your cable box or streaming device is connected to HDMI 1, ensure the TV source is also set to HDMI 1. – If it’s already set correctly but there’s still no picture, unplug and reconnect the HDMI cable at both ends. If any cable is damaged, it will need to be replaced. Power cycle the device and TV after reconnecting. 4. Try a different HDMI port or cable. – Connect a different external device to see if the issue is limited to one source. – If a new device works, you’ve narrowed down the issue. 5. Run HDMI Troubleshooting. Go to: Home > left directional key > Connected Devices > Connection Guide > Video Device > HDMI Troubleshooting (approx. 2 min). 6. Check for firmware updates. If your screen stays on long enough, we recommend checking for updates, which may resolve any HDMI communication bugs: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now
If the problem persists after these steps, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun). LiveChat agents are also available via the ‘Support’ section on our website.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the TV and the built-in news and sports channels. It is great picture quality and so easy to use with streaming services.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not all the tv’s that say that they have voice recognition have it. You need to purchase a separate remote for that. Setting up options make you think you have that when only certain tv’s come with a remote that will work for voice. The tv is good quality besides that one issue.
