Great TV But...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The resolution, brightness, contrast, refresh rate, and color are excellent. My problem is that we use Xfinity and have gotten use to using a voice remote. Unfortunately this model does not have that capability even when using a remote that I bought with voice remote.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 Samsung TVs this being the newest, best clarity of my TVs, crisp the colors, contrast and gaming quality. Still have another ancestor to the Samsung still hanging on the wall after all these years going strong.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The view is great. The remote is hard to figure out. And I still don’t know how to put the sleep timer on. You need better instructions.

Horrible , Set up is bad, must have samsung acct
on May 13, 2026
Posted by: neveragain
Remote is the worse design I have ever seen, finding apps and your stations are almost impossible. You are required to set up samsung acct for tv to work which means give them all your personal info and sign away privacy rights. What little bit of manual that actually came with it has such tiny print that you cannot read it . Even Clarity of picture is only so so ,, not worth the hassle, stay away from this product

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback on the U8000H TV remote and interface.
Please know that Samsung’s privacy policies are designed to protect your personal information and ensure it’s handled responsibly.
We always request your consent before collecting any data, and we are committed to managing that information with the utmost care and transparency in accordance with our privacy guidelines.
Regarding the setup and navigation of your TV, there is a built-in guide you can access by going to Settings > Support > Tips and User Guides.
Next, if the image on your screen isn’t meeting your expectations, there are several settings you can adjust to improve the overall brightness and clarity of your screen.
First, try disabling certain energy-saving features that may be dimming the screen automatically. Go to: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving, then turn off Brightness Optimization, Energy Saving Solution, Motion Lighting, and/or Contrast Enhancer.
Next, adjust the Picture Mode to better match your viewing environment: Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and choose from the following: • Dynamic – Brighter and clearer for well-lit rooms • Standard – Balanced for most environments • Movie – Ideal for watching in a dark room • Eco – Designed for energy savings • Filmmaker Mode – Preserves the creator’s original intent
You can also manually adjust brightness by going to: Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Brightness. Use the slider to set a level that suits your preferences (0–50).
We hope these tips help improve your viewing experience. Response from Samsung USBy Samsung Advisor, June 8, 2026
Hi Unhappy,
Thank you for reaching out to us. If your TV isn’t finding a signal or channels are missing when connected to your cable box, please try the following steps:
1. First, make sure the external device (such as a cable box or antenna) is securely connected to your TV and powered on. 2. On your remote, press the left directional button to access the Connected Devices menu, then navigate to Sources to switch between input sources and confirm your TV is on the correct one. 3. If you're using a set-top box or cable box, double-check the broadcast signal or the network connection to that external device, as signal issues may be coming from the source itself.
If the issue continues or you need additional help with input settings or channel scanning, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun). Our LiveChat agents are also available at the ‘Support’ link on our website.
