Oven is true and consistent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old oven quit working before the holidays. This oven handled Thanksgiving well, with accurate cook times and even baking throughout the oven. The front stovetop burners heat quickly, but are a little loud when they are on high. They emit a constant "ssssssshh" sound. The noise goes away when they are turned down. The center burner handles my cast iron griddle well, but the the heat distribution is definitely hotter in the middle, with the outer ends not getting as hot. This results in having to monitor the middle more frequently to pull things off and giving more time to anything on the ends. The one thing that I don't like is that when the oven is on, it just shows the temp and not the time clock. I would like to see the time, as I often don't set timers when I'm making multiple things, and refer to the clock instead to keep track of timing. I should add that I am a former professional chef, so probably a bit more particular than most people. Overall I am happy with this purchase. I expect it to last longer than other brands with more bells and whistles. I value true cook times over fancy features.
