Love It So Far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, we love the stove. The oven preheats in no time, the burners are great & provide good & even heat. We haven't tried all the oven features yet but are looking forward to using them once the Holidays come. So far we're very pleased.

Great features, but safety concerns

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We generally love our new range. It looks beautiful, the oven is big and brightly lit. I like the light feature on the handles to see when a burner is on and Love all the options available (cook styles, griddle, etc).
With all those pro's there are some significant design flaws in it. First, the griddle for the middle burner seems like a great feature, however when we tried to make pancakes on it, figured out that due to the placement of the middle burner, only the middle of the griddle gets hot enough to cook anything. Despite following the instructions for preheat, when we tried to cook 3 pancakes on it, the pancake on the middle was done and the one on the front edge was raw.

The second concern, more seriously is the temperature of the oven. When I have the front burners on, the surface of the range gets dangerously hot. The plate behind the nobs got up to 97 degrees while I was cooking applesauce (verses the temperature of the adjacent cabinet at 75 degrees). I burned myself by touching the plate behind the nobs, and so did my 6-year old daughter. We did not consider this surface would be dangerously hot (it was not on the oven they hauled away). The side panel of the oven also gets this same temperature. I hope the designers would have integrated some sort of thermal break between the range and the front panel of the oven. I'm concerned about this as we get into the holidays and my range will most likely be on for extended periods as we prep the meals.
There is of course no way to know about the heat prior to purchasing, but it would make me reconsider purchasing another range by this company prior to 'feeling' it in action. I would expect more from what I considered a high end range.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I owned my first Frigidaire gallery had range over 15 years ago. It was over 15 years before I had my first issue with this oven. I think it's amazing how long it lasted. The oven stopped working but to continued to work.

New oven is great!
