Dangerous recalled product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Frigidaire gas range model GCFG3070BF has been recalled due to a burn hazard caused by delayed ignition of the oven’s bake burner creating an explosion hazard. The recall affects numerous Frigidaire, Frigidaire Gallery, and Frigidaire Professional gas ranges, including model GCFG3070BF, within the serial number range VF52200000 through VF54399999 and possibly others. I bought a slightly different model that, like this model, also has a dangerous problem with the knobs easily being accidentally turned on without igniting. This could easily be corrected by redesigning the valves or at least supplying simple knob locks.

Great range

Worst oven I have owned in my life

This oven came broken and I first suspected something wrong within the first few days. Each time I tuned it on it would take long for temperatures to rise and also my kitchen would stink of gas. I come to realize that this oven is broken and has a recall. I will never buy a fridigaire product again. The recall fixing process is also broken. It has taken more than 10 days to get the oven fixed so we have no oven.

Beefy Cooktop w/good oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think a lot of people got this unit for the pizza feature and while I did too, that’s not the part that I’m most loving (maybe because I haven’t used it yet? And I’m not sure when I’ll use it). But every day I’m making something on the stovetop and I’ve got to say, I love the grates up there. They’re super heavy and finished in such a way that they feel like they hold my pans, help them make great vintage with the heating element. I love the burners and the flame control too. Top of this unit is really enjoyable to use. Inside, I’ve been using the convection and air fry functions and getting really good results. Broiler too, love it. The oven controls I’ve not gotten used to yet though. A couple of times I thought I was preheating and came back five minutes later to find the oven off entirely. Also haven’t found just a timer to use rather than the time bake feature that is easy to engage and not really wanted most of the time. I will read the manual again one of these days and see if I’m missing something basic, but in general the touch pad for the oven controls is not my favorite. Also, storage drawer is basically just for the pizza stone and special cooking device to be used on that special occasion, if ever. I have used the pizza stone in the bottom rack to reheat parlor purchased pizza and that crisped up my crust nicely! I like how I can heat this oven up inside to 750 degrees whether I use the special pizza device up high or just the stone down low.
