[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very solid all around, no glaring issues however there a few things that I think could be improved. The addition of magnetic charging would be useful A bigger battery Galaxy AI works well and is not too intrusive I wish the camera bar was horizontal so that the phone wouldn't wobble

Downgrade
on June 15, 2026
Posted by: Siiang
I switched from the Galaxy S24Ultra to the S26Ultra. The trade in value is what appealed to me. So far I have noticed that there's a lot less of the useful features that were in the S24Ultra but not the S26Ultra like bixby vision and spen gestures. On the other hand the device is bloated with other not so useful features. Some features that can't even be disabled like the AI photo processing that makes your photos fuzzy or AI generated without actually enhancing it like it's supposed to. This phone feels more like a downgrade from the S24Ultra and I strongly regret trading it in for this phone.

Invasive unwanted features
on June 26, 2026
Posted by: Asmodeusjr
The product was great, until recent updates. I cant take pictures anymore without AI interference, which makes my images worse. I am unable to turn off the now brief completely and it is using memory and obscuring my wallpaper. The forced integration of Ai into features has completely messed up my predictive text and spelling checks, I want to be able to opt out of the Ai features completely and I can't. I cant have edges on my wallpapers so it crops them incorrectly and won't let me edit them correctly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ongoing Wi-Fi 7 Connectivity Problem on Galaxy S26
on June 26, 2026
Posted by: Paolo
from Denver CO
**⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 Star)**
I purchased the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra expecting it to be Samsung's best flagship phone, but the Wi-Fi 7 experience has been a major disappointment.
When connected to my home Wi-Fi 7 network, the phone works normally at first. However, after sitting idle for about 20–30 minutes, it suddenly reports that the connected Wi-Fi network has no internet access, even though the network is working perfectly. As a result, notifications stop coming through until I unlock the phone or reconnect to Wi-Fi. Every other device on the same Wi-Fi 7 network continues to work without any issues, so the problem appears to be specific to the S26 Ultra.
I've contacted Samsung support multiple times and even visited an authorized service center, but no one has been able to identify or resolve the issue. Instead of acknowledging that this may be a software or firmware bug, I was repeatedly asked to go through the same troubleshooting steps.
This is a serious issue for anyone who relies on timely notifications, messages, emails, or work-related apps. A flagship phone should not lose internet connectivity simply because it has been idle.
I hope Samsung acknowledges this problem and releases a software update to fix it. Until then, anyone planning to use the Galaxy S26 Ultra with a Wi-Fi 7 network should be aware that they may experience intermittent connectivity issues.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The camera bump is a accident waiting to happen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have not had much of a chance to use the S26 Ultra, as the camera bump and trying to find a case that will properly protect it is proving to be elusive.
Making the phone thin is great. But that slight extra thinness creates a bigger problem with the Ultra's huge camera bump.

Mediocre Device

Cameras are the same as the last 4 years. The Display is not as color accurate as previous years due to the new "privacy Display feature" that makes the colors more washed out and Grey, battery life is a little better then previous years not by much, performance is a little better then the last 4 years of phones in the s series lineup, they did make the cooling chamber a bit bigger then last year's which helps with overheating but it can still be a problem at times especially while gaming or doing something intensive, the durability is about the same as 2 years ago except the screen is a little tougher they downgraded the frame of the device to the one used 2 years ago, otherwise its the same exact phone as the last 4 years so "upgrade" at your discretion
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
