An actual upgrade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been really impressed with the S26 Ultra so far. The biggest things I’ve noticed are how polished everything feels day to day and how much the phone actually helps without getting in the way. The Galaxy AI features have been more useful than I expected, especially for quick writing help, summaries, and little productivity tasks that save time. The integration with Gemini also feels like a real upgrade since it makes the phone feel more capable and a lot more seamless when I need answers, organization, or help on the fly. I’ve also really appreciated the privacy display feature. It adds a layer of comfort when I’m using my phone in public, especially when I’m reading messages, checking email, or working on something I don’t want visible to everyone around me. Overall, the S26 Ultra feels powerful, smart, and genuinely practical in a way that stands out.

Not much of an upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To have stopped the free storage upgrade on preorder, this phone is not much of an upgrade. The screen was better on my S25 Ultra. The privacy screen makes it even worse, so I won't even use it. I'm seriously thinking of leaving Samsung after being loyal for 15 years. Pixel is looking better every year. Give us what we really want and stop with the gimmicks. Bigger battery. Brighter display. The customization is the last reason I am here. If they other flagship get better there, I am OUT.

Lighter, Slimmer, and Better
on April 9, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgraded from my S23 Ultra to the S26 Ultra. The battery life was significantly improved and so were the charging speeds. The speaker sounds louder and fuller than the previous model. In addition to this, the cameras got a big upgrade as well. Better low light performance, cleaner videos, as well as improved pro controls.
Galaxy AI feels well implemented. The search option works wonders when looking for things and the summaries it makes for messages and PDFs are pretty accurate. It is less intrusive and more effective than other AIs.
The privacy display lives up to the hype. Working in Healthcare means a lot of PHI is discussed on work apps, this feature keeps strangers eyes off private information. Being able to enable and disable as needed is a game changer.

The slightest (maybe) upgrade over the S24 Ultra
on April 9, 2026
Posted by: Taylor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The software features of the S26 Ultra are a very slight improvement coming from the S24 Ultra like the super fast charging, while some were not upgraded at all. The Galaxy AI is probably the best feature of this phone, as I do not use the new Privacy technology for the screen.
For me, the hardware feels like a downgrade. The phone itself is aluminum instead of titanium, and has more rounded corners like every other phone. This iteration does not have the "premium" feel of the S24 Ultra for these reasons.
I was able to trade in for a discount on this device. If I had paid full price, I would have returned this phone and kept the S24.

Hi there Taylor, thank you for taking time out of your day to share your thoughts about your Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra with us. We are pleased to hear that you are finding some improvements to your new device, and are overall pleased with the usage. The change from the titanium to armor aluminum to help you give the device a more lightweight feel for a comfortable feel in your hand for prolonged periods of time while not sacrificing the durability of your device. We do recommend protective cases on all devices to help prevent damage from accidental bumps and drops that do occur during usage, and we would love to help you find one that best aligns to your personal sense of style. We have provided a link to the Samsung Support Team to assist you with accessories or any additional questions you may have about your device. We appreciate you being a Samsung customer. -Elizabeth Samsung Support smsng.us/Samsung-Support Samsung Community smsng.us/Samsung-Community Facebook smsng.us/Facebook-Messenger X https://smsng.us/X-Messages

Great New Features... Still Heats Up
on April 9, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love all the new features especially the AI!! My second favorite feature is the built-in privacy!
The only downfall I have found is that the phone still gets very warm. Okay, it gets hot. So hot at times, I have to shut it off to charge it. Once it starts to warm up, the battery drains very quickly. It drains faster than it accepts a charge. Powering the phone off allows for the phone to cool and accept a charge much better.
