Samsung Galaxy S26 ultra: Worth the Upgrade?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galaxy S26 Ultra is Samsung's smartest flagship yet, but it's more of an evolution than a revolution. Galaxy AI has become genuinely useful, helping me summarize articles, polish emails, translate conversations, and organize my day. It's one of the few AI features I actually use.
The display is stunning for streaming Netflix, watching movies, live sports, and gaming. Everything looks vibrant, smooth, and immersive, while the powerful performance handles demanding games without breaking a sweat. I also rely on the phone for work—emails, meetings, documents, and multitasking—and it has become an essential productivity tool.
One underrated feature is the new Privacy Display. I often work in public, and knowing people can't easily see my emails, banking apps, or personal information gives me peace of mind. In an era where smartphones hold our entire lives, this feature feels more important than ever.
That said, the S26 Ultra isn't perfect. It's still large, heavy, and expensive, and if you're coming from an S25 Ultra, the improvements may not justify the upgrade. The cameras remain excellent, though Samsung still tends to oversharpen some photos.
Overall, the S26 Ultra has made a noticeable impact on my daily life by blending entertainment, productivity, AI, and security into one polished package. It's not a groundbreaking upgrade, but it's one of the best Android phones available.

Epic phone that just does every thing right.

Great features and excellent battery

Better battery life, display, performance, cameras, even little things like the fingerprint sensor have all improved drastically. Galaxy AI has been great. I've loved using the call assist and photo assist on both phones, the object eraser is awesome.

So many great features and functionality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never thought zi would be an AI person, but Galaxy AI on the S26 Ultra has been a game changer! I just speak what I'm searching and Galaxy AI finds the answer for me so fast!
The phone itself is so fast and so many features that I haven't even discovered yet! The cameras are fantastic and really clear photos!
I use my phone for texting, browsing and social media primarily. Also stream some shows or live TV as well. Picture quality is fabulous. It doesn't get hung up, freeze or linger like the 25 Ultra did for me. It's a great phone! Battery lasts a long time as well.

Samsung shaved off weight and rounded the corners, making its massive 6.9 inch display surprisingly comfortable to hold daily. The anti-reflective glass is magic outdoors, and the built in Privacy Display is a game changer for commuting. Performance from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is lightning fast, effortlessly powering through multitasking and gaming without breaking a sweat.
Camera wise, it remains a multi tool masterpiece. The wider apertures pull in gorgeous low light details, and features like Horizontal Lock make handheld video effortlessly smooth. Add in stellar battery life that easily crosses into a second day and the classic utility of the S Pen, and you have arguably the most well-rounded flagship of the year.

Good Phone Easy to Operate

For years I held onto my Galaxy Note10+ because I didn't want to learn another new thing, but once I switched to the Ultra, using it is intuitive.
