Although far from perfect, I’m very impressed with the Chameleon having used for both soccer and basketball capturing. I’ll do more video related reviews on my YouTube channel

I want SO BADLY for this camera/gimbal to work. I want to watch my kids games through my own eyes vs from behind a camera or phone and thought this was my answer. My husband insists we send the Xbot chameleon back as it’s. It worth it. The first weekend of basketball games, it worked ok. Some user error, lots of lessons. The 2nd weekend it was better but lot more than 80% good. For this Saturday, I don’t know what is the issue but I couldn’t get the device to connect with my phone. So missed both of my son’s bball games. 😡😡😡

Tracking issues

Tracking was bad. Set up as recommended but only tracked properly half the time. Had to babysit which defeats the purpose of ai tracking.

I really like the concept of the xbot but notice that it continuously loses tracking during videoing, I have to keep manually moving the tripod to get the xbot back to the game. I also occasionally have trouble with going live, when I try to go live it will send me back to the home screen on the app.

The app crashes often. Good luck if there’s more than one basketball at all in the frame, as there are in every single tournament that’s ever existed in the history of basketball. Also, playback is rough - no way to leave annotations after the fact.
Overall, it’s just….ok. I had very high expectations but when it’s looking at the side of the court where no players are for an entire possession, you start to lose faith in it. Good idea, just ok execution.
