It’s ok

I like it but it doesn’t track the game perfectly. A few times the camera would be looking the opposite direction of play. There is a little bit of jiggle in the rotating base so when the camera stops in a position the phone jiggles. Overall it does what it’s supposed to do but could be better.

I placed chameleon in a good position and controlled it remotely. Recording the whole game process while play basketball was so much fun!

Enjoy the action by letting the Chameleon handle the recording

Overall love this thing. Still working out the settings and tripod height to get the best tracking, but it does a good job now. I can set it up and coach without worrying too much about it. I wish there was a travel case for it.

Good, but perfect

The camera is great and the concept of using my own phone is a clever work around in comparison to other cameras. we’ve used the Chameleon for soccer and basketball.
In soccer, it can get distracted with other balls that either on the side line or nearby fields (5v5) setting. I would recommend starting the recording THEN lifting the camera because the first time when I tried to use the camera, I had several issues with the recording only capturing 7 second clips. Unsure if this was user error or camera error.
Every time I pull it out at games other parents always ask about it.
Will update review after 6 months of use.

After a few games with the Chameleon I'm very impressed as a former Veo gen 1 user. The tracking is pretty good on a full size field. The auto-zoom default setting is a bit aggressive, but it is adjustable and can be turned off. Out of the box I'd say the tracking is 90% of what the Veo achieves after its' video is processed online. The Xbotgo app picture quality with an iphone 13 Pro is superior to the Veo Gen1, and live streaming has worked flawlessly. The Chameleon coupled with a super lightweight tripod is portable enough to fit in a players backpack and makes getting game video much easier to obtain compared to the bulky Veo and heavy tripod, and the price and no subscription cost blows veo out of the water. I'm now recommending the XbotGo Chameleon to every team in our club.

The AI Editing feature has really upgraded the quality of my sports videos! I shot a soccer game video, and after being processed by AI Editing, it looked like a professional soccer documentary. My friends were all asking me how I did it.

I used this product for a hockey game and it barely followed the game around and there were several situations where it was recording the wrong side of the ice where you can only see the goalie
