Such a great device with fantastic features, especially the larger screen, but a HUGE FAIL ruined it all for me. How in the world did you not make sure the brightness was actually bright enough, especially at this price? I'm shocked that Garmin would put this G82 on the market without a brighter, amoled screen. Unfortunately it's a deal breaker. I'm shocked and disappointed by this. I took my new device to the course today and couldn't believe, of all things, they'd drop the ball on what's probably an easy fix. Looks like I'm going to have to return it.

Great All-In-One Device

I have had the Garmin G82 for a couple of weeks and it has been great. From locating the course I am playing to using the launch monitor features it has been very easy to use. I like how the screen stays on as you use it as a launch monitor and how you can use the included back with a golf ball to set it up properly.

Good but with some irritating problems…

Consistently 10-15 yards short on driver carry. Select club has no 4, 7 or 9 wood options, also only has a 3 hybrid option for some strange reason. It would be nice to be able to define new clubs or create levels for them (I have several pitching wedges).
It would be nice to be able to review data directly on the device.

Great product. I have used it for bag mapping a couple of times and found it so helpful with clubs and specific yardages. I have found the putting information extremely helpful as well. Played a round with the course GPS and found that to be very helpful. I love how portable the device is.
