Luxury phone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the S26 Ultra after comparing it to other phones and it is the best. All the latest and greatest features are here! I don't need a desktop computer anymore; my phone does everything that I need. One simple but big game changer for me is also choosing the maximum storage option. I can download things all the time without worrying about how much space I have in my phone. It's luxurious!

Always enjoyed Samsung phones until predictive text degraded. text message used to remember common words used, was good at replacing unwanted words. now predictive text continue to use words I chose to remove from dictionary, it suggest/use/replace with unusual, UNCOMMON words. The Samsung Galaxy S III had THE best predictive text, it will be missed.
Samsung S series UI responsiveness also degraded. Coincidentally have to press suggested words numerous times before text message inserts word. Responsiveness of the top pull down menu degraded, think the design cause sliding top pull down menu between settings and notification menu to not function as expected
also dislike Maps UI. Makes finding saved locations difficult. maps saved location most recent design is horrible, the sort function isn't helpful. Why does Starred locations show in Favorite and Want To Go results. I starred the location to separate from all others, not to be included. these are not functional, helpful or convenient.
I've told myself and others this will be my last Android, frustrated for years.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra

I don't have a computer. The majority of my technology use is on this phone. I am amazed with its capabilities. I am looking forward to seeing how my pictures turn out this upcoming aurora season.

A Phone That Simply Gets It Right

I wanted something that could quietly become part of my everyday life — something I could reach for without thinking and trust to be there for whatever the day brought with it.
The first thing that caught me was the display. There’s something almost effortless about it. Everything feels alive on that screen, from the smallest details in a photograph to a movie playing late at night. It makes ordinary moments feel a little less ordinary.
Then there’s the camera. I’ve always liked taking pictures, but this phone makes me want to notice things. A sunset that would normally pass by unnoticed, a moment with family, something happening in the distance — suddenly I find myself reaching for my phone because I know I can capture it the way I saw it. The zoom is especially impressive, and the amount of detail it holds feels almost unreal.
What surprises me most, though, is how naturally everything comes together. Streaming, taking photos, browsing, multitasking, staying connected — it never feels like I’m asking too much from it. It just keeps pace.
I chose the S26 Ultra because I wanted a phone that would feel exceptional without making me work to appreciate it. After using it, I think that’s what I like most: the technology is powerful, but the experience feels simple. It doesn’t get in the way of life. It just makes more of it possible.

S23 Ultra replacement
