Honest first experience with S26 Ultra

Just unboxed my Galaxy S26 Ultra! After a full decade on curved screens, I feared the flat display would disappoint. Nope—premium build, clean straight edges, and full-view clarity feel perfect. No corner blackouts or accidental touches.
Back design scores points for the unified single camera assembly, but the big bump causes annoying wobble on tables. One-handed swipe-to-type tracing loses accuracy—I’m forced to use both hands.
Privacy Display is hardware magic (selective pixel control). Angle view blacks out completely; I enabled it only for banking/messages in public. Straight-on trade-off: slightly reduced contrast and vivid colors vs. normal mode.
Galaxy AI feels smarter and faster (Now Nudge, Photo Assist, on-device speed). Multi-product image search detected everything but linked only the main item—might be my test image; still exploring. **New caveat**: selection tools sit too close to the bottom edge, causing frequent inadvertent taps.
Overall performance and battery are flawless as expected.
Verdict: Worth upgrading for flat screen, privacy, and proactive AI. Minor wobble and edge-selection gripes aside—8.5/10. Case recommended!

Good phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgraded from a s24+ so it's a big jump for me. The privacy feature is nice but I don't have a use for it. The camera on the other hand is amazing. I can't believe Iwas missing out with it. Couple small issues wmbut overall I'm happy so far with it

Solid phone with lots of perks!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am currently upgrading from an smS24 Ultra to the S26 Ultra. I love the new privacy screen! The Galaxy AI is a nice addition as well. I realized I never used my S24 to it's true potential and I'm excited to unlock that with the S26. This phone does seem a bit bulkier in a case. The rounded edges are nice but I loved the square look of my previous phone. I still have lots to learn but overall I am enjoying this phone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra for a few weeks now, and it’s easily one of the best phones I’ve owned. The performance is incredibly smooth thanks to the latest processor, and everything from multitasking to gaming feels fast and responsive. One of my favorite features is Galaxy AI, which really makes everyday tasks easier. From improving my photos automatically to helping with quick edits and smart suggestions, it feels like the phone is always one step ahead. I use my phone a lot for streaming, social media, and work, and the large 6.9-inch display is amazing for watching movies and videos. The brightness and clarity are top-tier, even outdoors. I also appreciate the new Privacy Display, especially when I’m in public it helps keep my screen content more secure. The camera system is another highlight. The 200MP main camera captures incredible detail, and low-light photos come out sharp and vibrant. Whether I’m taking quick shots or recording videos, the quality is consistently impressive. Battery life easily lasts me a full day, even with heavy use, and the fast charging is super convenient. Overall, the Galaxy S26 Ultra feels like a powerful, premium device that fits perfectly into both my personal and work life.

S26 is a Game changer!

The fact that you can isolate different apps or notification to privacy is a feature I didn't realize I was missing. Truly a great phone. Thinner and more powerful than ever.

S24 Ultra to S26 Ultra
