No, big inprovements.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved my Galaxy S23 Ultra, when fully charged it lasted more then a day and half without recharging. Camera and other features were excellant. One day it fell and cracked the screen. So i got S26Ultra. Regarding Galaxy S26Ultra, its not much of an upgrade from S23Ultra, except it comes with Chalk full of AI features. The battery when fully charged doesn't even last a whole day with regular usuage.

The new Galaxy AI "Agentic" features are the standout, especially the predictive "Now Nudge" and a revamped Bixby that can handle complex, multi-step tasks across different apps just by asking. Beyond the smarts, the hardware is top-tier; the world’s first built-in Privacy Display is a total game-changer for keeping prying eyes off your screen in public, and the wider f/1.4 aperture on the 200MP camera makes low-light photos look incredibly professional. It’s slimmer, lighter, and faster than ever, making it easily the most refined and "intuitive" phone Samsung has ever released.

Premium Upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coming from a S23 Ultra, this is quite an upgrade. Speed, power, screen quality , audio quality. All huge leaps in technology.
Wasn't sure how I would use the new AI system , but I realized I I love the Galaxy AI. I find myself learning something new that I can do everyday.
Samsung has done an amazing job with the s26 series of phones, particularly this Ultra.

The best phone Samsung offers right now

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In my assessment, the S26 Ultra currently represents Samsung's premier smartphone offering. My experience with Samsung's flagship devices spans consistently since the Note 8. While I have periodically explored alternative mobile ecosystems, I have consistently returned to Samsung, primarily due to the superior software experience provided by their Ultra and Note series. The S Pen remains an indispensable tool for my workflow, otherwise, I might have considered a foldable device. One UI, particularly its integration with Samsung Notes, the Reminder App, and the Edge Panel, aligns optimally with my operational needs.
However, I do note the absence of certain functionalities previously available in Samsung Messages, specifically the ability to categorize and archive messages, which significantly streamlined message retrieval. This feature is notably absent in Google Messages. Furthermore, while the Samsung keyboard's "Writing Style" AI functionality surpasses that of Gboard, the overall user experience of the Samsung keyboard is less favorable. I have recently transitioned to Samsung Internet from Chrome Browser, finding the AI summary feature particularly beneficial for quickly extracting key information from articles. As a dedicated user of the Ultra series, I anticipate actively participating in upcoming beta programs and One UI launches. Overall, my experience with this device has been highly positive.

a product done right

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this is the first phone I've bought where I can honestly say the new features are easily accessible and easy to use. there are a few hidden features you have to dig around for but they don't make you jump through hoops for the more useful ones. its a new phone that actually feels like a new phone, not your old phone wrapped in a new skin with one or two added changes. phones aren't ment to last forever the parts get old through time regardless of how carefully you take care of it. if you've been waiting a while for an upgrade worth spending your money on this would be my pick. you can find build specs many other places if that's what your interested in but if your in the reviews you want to know it's safe take the gamble and you won't regret this. the battery is ridiculously good the speaker is okay my s23 ultra was much louder and clearer but its a phone not a megaphone get ear buds or a speaker if you need more volume. picture quality is quite nice and the screen can get brighter then you'll probably ever need it to be. at its core its a good phone that just works.
