A Masterclass in Regression.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve pre-ordered many flagships, but this S26 Ultra is my last. It’s fast with great battery efficiency. I cap health at 80% with two daily 15-minute top-offs. I’m running the 512GB model—a forced compromise because Samsung failed to properly advertise the 1TB option.
As a field service engineer, I rely on the S-Pen for signatures. The pixel density mimics real ink beautifully, down to micro-dot precision. I appreciate the pen sticking out slightly for easy case ejection, but the magic is dead. No Bluetooth, no controls, and single-direction insertion. Frankly, the S-View case was Samsung's last actual look-at-me innovation. Random ppl said "nice phone".
The dealbreaker is the display. An engineer sacrificed visibility for a niche "privacy" screen and should simply be fired. With polarized sunglasses in the sun, it's completely useless. The glass reflects a harsh, kaleidoscopic starfield that obscures everything. Useless in Hawaiian sun or on the water. Even night dimming has regressed to a washed-out gray-white. I worry more about corporate metadata scraping than screen-peeking strangers.
Galaxy ai? I use Google.
Video stabilization is the only feature worth showing off, but the camera housing cripples ergonomics. We shouldn't have to choose between the S25 Ultra's readable screen and the S26 Ultra's bulky camera and invisible display. All they had to do was keep it amazingly bright.
Can't add pics here b/c Samsung caps pic size at 10mb on reviews!
Care+ = joke.

Phone of the year!
on March 11, 2026
Posted by: Dav9Ol
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is easily the most powerful and useful smartphone I’ve owned. As someone who works heavily with data and photography and relies on technology for both work and everyday life, this device is a game changer!
One feature I use constantly is Galaxy AI. During my workday, I often review long emails and technical reports, and Galaxy AI helps summarize content quickly so I can focus on the key points. It’s also extremely helpful for improving written responses when communicating with colleagues.
For photography, this phone is incredibly useful when scouting locations or capturing quick shots when I don’t have my full camera gear with me. The detail in the photos is impressive, and the horizontal lock when recording action videos is superb. I also use the Galaxy AI photo editing tools to quickly clean up images and remove distractions before sharing them on social media.
The privacy display is magnificent! Now I can open my wife's text in public haha.
I could go on, but this phone is powerful and versatile, and in my opinion, the best smartphone in the world right now.

Removed Camera Shutter feature on SPen
on April 3, 2026

I have been buying Samsung for years now. I can't wrap my head around the idea that someone thought it was a good idea to remove the SPen camera shutter feature on its newest Samsung Ultra 26.

Not worth the upgrade, should have waited.
on March 13, 2026

I upgraded from S23 Ultra. I wish I waited. The battery life on the 26 Ultra is same. I'm still charging my phone 3 times a day. Performance wise, I didn't notice any change, it's still overheating from back. Even as I'm writing this review the phone is getting hot. Camera and display are good. Durability so far is good. Overall I should have waited.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fingerprint sensor is the worst
on April 28, 2026
Posted by: Phillyphan75
from Wasilla, AK
The fingerprint sensor is so bad on this phone it literally makes me want to throw the phone in the trash. I've been using and loved Samsung phones for over ten years but this issue has me looking at other phones. I can only hope Samsung is taking this issue seriously and can push a software update out to fix it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bluetooth
on March 20, 2026
Posted by: Connect2me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is a limit to how many Bluetooth devices you could connect to the phone. I wish it could handle more than 3 at once. If you have more than 3 devices connected to the Bluetooth, whichever device you connected last gets knocked off.

Should have stayed with my S25 Ultra!
I feel misled over the so calked10bit display.
Privacy screen, not so private.
Samsung has forced their customers to use Google messaging, which sucks, I Hate it!
MAKE SAMSUNG MESSAGES COMPATIBLE!
Went from titanium to aluminum frame.
