[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra for a bit now and honestly, it’s been really solid. The screen looks amazing and everything runs super smooth—no lag or anything like that. The camera is definitely one of my favorite parts. Pictures come out really sharp, even at night. Also, the Galaxy AI features are actually useful, which surprised me. Stuff like editing photos and little smart tools just make things easier day to day. Battery life has been good for me too—lasts all day without stressing about charging. It’s definitely expensive, but it feels like you’re getting what you pay for.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The privacy display somewhat lacks in features. The "notification" based privacy only works at time of the notification itself triggering, and does not work at all when on lock screen or in the notifications pane, which is very disappointing. Not only is it hard to show off the cool selective privacy display to others, but it's also not effective at protecting at certain points while trying to interact with notifications. So could use a couple software updates to get right!
Galaxy ai is about what you expect. It's a do-all screen reader, summarizer, and generator for any sort of consumer needs. Nothing extremely notable, but it is very easy to use and is integrated in a way that it can be ignored, or used heavily
All in all, this phone with it's great specs is absolutely worth it. I'm using Google Fi, and it is running laps around my previous pixel phones (which honestly aren't as quality nor performant as they could be). And the battery life is incredible, I can easily get 2 days out of this device. Unlike my previous phone where it struggled with charging + Android Auto, it actually handles that very well _while actually charging_!
The only gotcha is the RAM inclusion. Only the 1TB version has the larger capacity RAM.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the new S26 ultra the other day. I love this phone. 1TB of memory and 16G of ram. This phone is fast and the galaxy AI is great. AndI like the new edges over the rounded ones my S23 ultra had before.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a long-time Samsung user. In fact, as a paperweight, I still have a Galaxy Note 3 (still works, and the screen looks amazing. I wish they'd bring back the 'hover' feature). I recently switched from the S25U to the S26U. Normally, I don't update my phone on an annual basis, but the deal that they offered at pre-order, the new Galaxy AI features, and the Privacy Display feature made it a easy buy for me. I believe the screen is better on my S26U than it was on my 25, and my 25 was better than allmy other androids and iphones. I also really enjoy S26U's rounded corners. It feels so good in hand. It's also a bit lighter, overall it's a joy to hold. I use my s26u as a daily driver, and use it heavily for work. One thing that really stands out to me is the translate feature for calls on my S26U (I work with a variety of customers that are English second speakers, so the translation feature is extremely helpful. The other galaxy AI features like the now briefing in the morning has been my go-to first thing when I wake up, such a helpful feature. This S26U is such a usable tool, phone, and toy. I talked about how great the screen is and how I think it's better than my S25U, but I cannot overemphasize how cool the Privacy Screen feature is on my S26U. Banking, passwords, and reading client messages, etc., in public- it's very refreshing to have that privacy and not have to dim my screen or hide my phone.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a lot of problems with the Samsung Galaxy s26 Ultra if I try to watch a video it will constantly try to put itself to sleep if I'm not watching a video and just set it down it stays on. Bigsby is a joke. With the galaxy AI I can't register my voice because all It keeps saying is did not recognize. So Bixby just turns on and off randomly but never answers to my voice when I say the wake up phrase. Speak into the microphone and then read what it writes afterwards most of the time is nowhere near what I said. And for having 12 gigs of RAM this thing is slow or it could just be the processor or everything about the phone that makes it slow. And yes I have it switched on to where it's not supposed to turn off or go to sleep while you're watching it a lot of the apps are buggy. I would like to play some games on it but I'm not even going to try because it probably just make it crash way too much for it. So far I've only had a week but I'm not too happy with it it would be nice if this review mattered somehow but I know you guys are just going to look at it shrug it off and start worrying more about your pockets again, and to be honest I should have stuck with my last Galaxy phone too late now.
