Big upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just upgraded from an S23 Ultra to the new S26 Ultra. The new phone has many similar features to the S23 Ultra with some notable new Galaxy AI assistants. The phone has lost its curves edges and the screen is now completely flat. The screen is now considerably brighter but still has the same refresh rate as the S23 Ultra. The camera hasn't changed much but the color science has changed rendering images with, in my opinion, a more natural color space. I'm not sure i would have gone for the new S26 Ultra if my old phone battery was still holding a charge and the screen wasn't cracked. But now that I've had a few days with it, I'm very happy with the upgrade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't tried all the new features of my phone, including the AI part, The main reason i bought the 26 ultra is the better camera, I do a lot of wildflowr photos and it works great for that. Am sure that I will find a lot of new features as I get used to the phone.

One of my favorite features is the built-in Privacy Display, which helps protect my personal information from people looking at my screen from the side. This gives me extra peace of mind when using my phone in public places such as airports, coffee shops, or waiting areas.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been living with the Galaxy S26 Ultra as my daily driver for a few months now, and coming from older flagships, it’s a beast—but a much more manageable one.
The first thing you notice is the feel. Samsung shaved down the thickness to under 8mm and dropped a little weight, which makes a huge difference if you're holding your phone for hours gaming or reading. The screen is a massive 6.9-inch canvas, but the real party trick is the new Privacy Display toggle. When I'm out in public or commuting, turning it on blacks out the screen for anyone looking from the side. The trade-off is that even when it’s off, the screen colors look just a tiny bit less vibrant from wide angles compared to last year, but for the privacy, I’ll take it.
Performance is flawless. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 handles demanding mobile games and heavy multitasking without breaking a sweat or turning the back glass into a heating pad. Battery life easily pushes into a second day of heavy use, and the faster wired charging means I'm not tethered to a wall for long.
Galaxy AI is where this phone actually changed my daily routine. I used to think phone AI was just a gimmick, but "Now Brief" is incredibly useful—it combs my morning emails and highlights flight updates or schedule changes before I even think to check. For camera work, the new f/1.4 aperture captures clean shots in low light, but the "Photo Assist" generative editing tool is the real fun.

Awesome device, some features are a letdown

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Galaxy AI was something I was looking forward to. It is confusing to use though. I used to be the tech savvy type in my younger days, but now it is a hassle to learn how to properly use some of the AI features like fixing sound on videos. The S26 Ultra overall, is an excellent phone. The screen is a great size, it feels lighter overall. The privacy screen feature isn't my favorite. It is difficult in low light or bright light to see your own screen with the max protection on. Now I keep it on as necessary at work. The phone runs faster and has smoother transitions than my last phone. I was rocking a S22+. This is a big upgrade with drawbacks. The AI, privacy screen feature, and s pen lacking Bluetooth are the worst though. I'll keep it since it's working, but I cannot enjoy the feztures I bought the phone for.
