My new phone (S26+) replaces my S21 FE after ONLY 4 years of use. The changes are quite dramatic and NOT intuitive. And no, instructions provided are not helpful. I've had trouble getting the phone to work at crucial moments. The worst: RCS messages (then Bluetooth connecting, sound volume, etc). It's absolutely ridiculous. Who needs so much encryption? Not me. Plus, Google Messages which I'm forced to use is awful. It makes communication more difficult not easier which is expected on a new phone. One day my work group RCS text reached everyone. The next day no one received a new work group RCS text causing much upset. Plus, how do I know what kind of phone everyone uses in the group text? I've turned RCS off. Stop adding so many bells & whistles. Stop re-naming things and moving things around. Stop adding more steps to common tasks. I've never had this experience before. So, no I cannot recommend the S26+.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just upgraded from my S22+ to the new Samsung Galaxy S26+. I have had Galaxys for several generations of the phone. Guess why? It's simple, it's a great phone. It is incredibly easy to use and has anything and everything I want in a phone. I'm sure it can do a lot more than I use it for, but for what I need (games, IG, email, Googling, calendar, and texting), it's perfect. The camera is awesome, too. I get so many compliment on the photos I take. It's not my non-existent photography skills, it's the phone. As long as they keep making Galaxys, it will remain my phone of choice.
