When it came time to upgrade, at the end of my previous contract, I was excited to trade in my s23 for the new s26. Since I have used the s26 I don't really notice any changes in the way that the phone performs compared to the s23. Other than being new, I could have saved a lot of money just by waiting for something totally different from what I had because I don't feel that I've gotten that.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
