Good comfort and sound quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lightweight, comfy headphones. The ear pieces are nicely cushioned and don't make my ears sore like some headphones after wearing for a while. The sound quality is really nice and you can make adjustments easily. The battery lasts into the double digits! The range is decent. They don't take long at all to charge but you'll rarely have to charge them. Nice affordable headphones.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sound: 8/10 - Really good. Works with JBL Headphones app, so there are numerous audio features you can tweak, including a customizable equalizer, High Rez (LDAC), Spatial Sound, and something called "Personi-Fi" (which I couldn't get to activate). Bass, treble, and mids are all very good. I could stand for the bass to reach lower, but it's still punchy and solid.
Noise Canceling: 6/10 - Good. Not groundbreaking. Does the job.
Comfort/Fit: 5/10 - It's fine, but after an hour or two, you can feel it. A tad snug for my taste, and the earphones could be a bit softer or have more cushion.
Battery life: 10/10 - Here is where these babies really shine. I've been listening for 2-3 hours every day, and I'm still on the initial charge from a week ago. Probably the best battery life I've encountered for headphones.
Other Features: 7/10 - As mentioned previously, these are compatible with the JBL Headphones app, so features abound. The "Ambient Aware" setting is great when you need to stay alert to outside sounds. Features I did NOT try include "Auracast" and "VoiceAware".
Phone Calls: 9/10 - Perfectly suited for talking on phone. Great clarity, and plenty of ways to adjust call settings.

My go-to for on ear headphones

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very impressed with this pair of headphones! Very comfortable and the noise cancelling is one of the best I've tried. I wear these at the gym and they stay on for all my workouts while being able to cancel out the surrounding sound completely. As soon as I turn them on the connect to my phone automatically which makes it seemless. The build quality is outstanding, very high quality and seem very durable to withstand everyday use. Highly recommend.

Huge battery, great sound, comfortable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you prefer compact on the ear headphones this is an excellent choice. The headband and ear pads are exceptionally soft, featuring memory foam that provides long lasting comfort. Adjustability is another strong point, between the headband expansion, ear cup swivel and tilt you can fine tune the fit just the way you like it.
For their size the sound quality is surprisingly impressive. There is a slight muddiness when getting into the extreme lows, but the rest of the range is clean and balanced and sounds great overall. While I personally gravitate toward larger over-the-ear headphones, if this is your style you can't go wrong.
Lastly and probably a HUGE thing to know. The battery on this set is insane. 80+ hours of battery is unheard of and it does hit this range.

A great pair of on-ear headphones with ANC and a t

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] JBL has come out with an excellent pair of on-ear headphones! The JBL Live 680NC boasts a lot of great features. JBL, claims 80 (50 with ANC on) hours of battery life, which I never had to recharge in my 40-ish hours of testing. A 5 minute quick charge option to get 4 hours of play is great if you need these cans in a hurry and left them dead in your bag. They also support Hi-Res Audio in both wired and wireless formats. Support for the JBL app unlocks custom EQ settings and the toggle for Hi-Res. I am not positive the iPhone supports this or not, but I did try lossless Apple Music files wirelessly and they played perfectly. Other features include Active Noise Cancelling, which surprised me for an on-ear set. And obviously these can be used to make clear phone calls, although I only briefly tested this feature.
Included in the box were the headphones, a soft cloth bag, and a USB-C to 3.5mm 3meter cable. Sadly, there was not a charger cord or power brick included.
Overall, these headphones sound fantastic if a bit bass heavy. The EQ options in the app allow customization to achieve a wide range of tones and I feel you can get the sound you prefer from them. I mostly left them at their default settings. I played a variety of rock, electronic, hip-hop, and pop music. I really didn’t find anything that made these headphones sound fatiguing or unable to keep up. The tone was generally warm and full. High notes were detailed, but not shrill or distorted like I have noticed on other headphones. They sounds very good!
On Ear style phones aren’t my preferred, but these were surprisingly comfortable! I even had my wife and kids all try them on. Everyone was able to wear them from a 7 yo to adults. Clamping force was good for everyone. I found it a bit tight initially, but once I adjusted them, they were perfect. I had the largest skull in the group. The ear pads are some type of synthetic leather that feels good to touch., They did however, give off a smell out of the box. I left them out of the bag for over a week and the smell went away. It wasn’t necessarily bad, but kind of a chemical type smell. I think these are well made and durable. Should last a long time if cared for.
I liked the controls as they were easy to use by feel and they were easy to pair with both my phone and laptop at the same time.
Lastly, the ANC works really well! I was able to vacuum and hardly hear it with these playing music. They also support Ambient Aware to passively allow sounds to pass through. This is easily toggled on/off via the customization button on the unit.
Overall, I would recommend these to anyone looking for a nice pair of on ear headphones with a lot of features.

Excellent all around performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been able to use the JBL Live 680NC for the past few weeks. I recently took the headset on vacation with me and I absolutely love them. The battery life was very impressive. I also never had a headset that paused my music for me when I took it off my ears and resumed play once I put them back on. Such a COOL feature! They're very comfortable and very easy to use. The noise cancellation is easy to find while wearing and the sound quality is excellent.

I own various other noise canceling headphones but these JBL headphones deliver superior sound and heavy bass in this quality built product. The set up was easy and came with a nice pouch to travel with so I don’t scratch them. Overall I have replaced my other headphones with these
