insanely powerful on high, insanely slow on low

this fan is the model 810 taken to a new level. . The brushless DC motor and the 99 speeds made this a must have for me. on the lowest setting, it feels like I'm under a ceiling fan on low, but on the highest setting, it feels like I'm in a hurricane. this is the widest variation of speeds I've ever seen on any fan. this makes it suitable for many different kinds of environments, from an air-conditioned office to a hot warehouse. I also have an XPower FC-300A, an industrial air circulator which is rated to shoot a beam of air up to 170 feet, but the Vornado stays strong for further than the XPower. The only minor complaint I have about the Vornado is that it doesn't have a mechanical switch to control the speeds, but that will not affect my rating. A mechanical switch would allow me to use this fan with smart plugs. I currently use the Model 80X out on my patio in the summertime. I highly recommend this fan. The new Vornado box fans are the best fans that Vornado has made since they started making fans again in 1989.

Moves TONS of air.

We have this at the base of our stairs to help our air-conditioning make cool the 2nd floor. We had a similar size Lasco fan in the same spot and this blows it away. It's a bit loud when set to 99, but at 80 the noise is reasonable for a strong fan while easily still moving more air than the old fan.
The design is a very nice secondary benefit. Classiest box fan I've ever seen. This is our second Vornado fan and they're proving to be excellent purchases.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My skepticism was rooted in past disenchantments with exorbitant Dyson appliances, which, despite their prestige, often yielded underwhelming results.
However, the reality was nothing short of a revelation. I am utterly captivated by Vornado’s prowess and its near-ethereal silence. It projects a potent, collimated airstream that remains focused on its trajectory without dissipation. It has seamlessly integrated into my life—purging pollutants by day and optimizing thermal efficiency by night. I must concede: this is an undeniable masterpiece of industrial design.

Great quality and strong airflow

I like the multiple output settings it has to offer as well. The fan is super powerful and circulates a ton of air. It will be a perfect addition on those super hot 100 degree days.
