Not worth the upgrade, should have waited.

I upgraded from S23 Ultra. I wish I waited. The battery life on the 26 Ultra is same. I'm still charging my phone 3 times a day. Performance wise, I didn't notice any change, it's still overheating from back. Even as I'm writing this review the phone is getting hot. Camera and display are good. Durability so far is good. Overall I should have waited.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New Phone Same Phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the Galaxy AI is cool and engaging but honestly I went from a S23 Ultra to this 26 model and I truly feel my previous phone was bigger that I liked and allowed me to use older apps such as the Numberpad Keyboard because the T9 keyboard is very complicated on this device. It could option to save added words like slang to dictionary and a space bar where the 0 would be while allowing the prediction to work better. The new camera itself is great especially for close up in depth photos. I do wish charger boxes would be a thing again as with what phones are costing now there should be more included not less. I've been Team Samsung for years such as washers, televisions and phones but I feel lately they are doing too much to compare phone wise to the "fruit phone". While the phone is nice I sadly don't feel it was worth the jump I expected when upgrading.

The ultra of Ultras!
on March 13, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The moment I pulled this phone out you could tell it was different; it is lighter than my old S22 Ultra as well as the iPhones in my family. This already had the One UI 8.5 which has several improvements mainly the Galaxy AI, the privacy screen, and the camera quality improvements. Galaxy AI has introduced several of it's own capabilities and improvements making many tasks more streamlined; the privacy screen is absolutely AWESOME! When used, the screen does dim somewhat but is actually quite nice as it is easy on the eyes; the security it brings is unmatched. The camera improvements are quite noticeable with the quality of nighttime pictures and the crispness of the pictures overall has improved significantly. The quality is easily comparable to those taken with a professional camera such as a Canon. I had the S22 Ultra for the last year; to say the S26 Ultra is an improvement is a massive understatement. The cost being what it is, they have made enough significant improvements with this model that the cost is well with the upgrade; no regrets here!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Galaxy AI feature. It lets me create and do so many different things on my phone. My Samsung 26 Ultra is the perfect phone for work, gaming, creating videos and taking pictures. I pre-ordered mine so I wouldn't have to wait for it to be on back order. Thanks Samsung for giving us a great phone.

The camera bump is a accident waiting to happen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have not had much of a chance to use the S26 Ultra, as the camera bump and trying to find a case that will properly protect it is proving to be elusive.
Making the phone thin is great. But that slight extra thinness creates a bigger problem with the Ultra's huge camera bump.
