Worth The Upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra for a bit now, and while it’s a powerful and polished device, I do have mixed feelings about the design change. The biggest thing for me is that Samsung moved away from the boxy design. That squared-off look was what made the Ultra series feel unique and premium—it had character. The more rounded design on the S26 Ultra looks good, but it loses that signature “Ultra” identity. Personally, I really hope Samsung brings the boxy design back in future models. That said, the phone still delivers where it matters. Performance is extremely smooth, the display is beautiful, and everything feels fast and responsive. One standout feature is Galaxy AI. It genuinely makes everyday tasks easier—especially things like adding events to the calendar, organizing apps, and moving things around the phone. It feels more intuitive and actually saves time, which makes a noticeable difference in daily use. The camera system is also excellent, producing sharp and detailed photos consistently. Overall, the S26 Ultra is still a great phone with strong performance and useful AI features, but I do miss the iconic boxy design that made the Ultra series stand out. Hopefully, that makes a comeback.

Almost a perfect phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are many things about the s26 ultra that I love. I enjoy the screen I enjoy when you are 8.5. one UI 8.5 is probably the best software experience I've had yet on Galaxy phones. The Galaxy AI is seamless and works well with Gemini and other Google features and calendars and makes the experience a pleasant. The only thing holding the phone back is the very poor battery life. I used a one plus 15 for a little over a month I prefer that screen actually and the battery life on the OnePlus 15 was just phenomenal. The charging speed was such a convenient thing to have. The 10 bit was also very noticeable. The cameras on the last 26 ultra is tremendous. But probably my favorite new feature is the ability to choose which SIM for phone calls, a different sim for text and a different sim for data if you prefer. Not to mention the phenomenal call screening and direct voicemail. I'm not sad I got rid of the OnePlus 15 for the s26 ultra but there are things about it that I miss. If Samsung could just fix the battery issues the s26 ultra would be the perfect phone.

Why remove features?
on March 30, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice phone I'm still getting use to. I don't like the way it underlines words it doesn't like. Examples: I'm, ya, y'all, em,etc. My old phone, S20 could learn such words. Also absolutely hate not being able to select, cut, copy, paste in a text message! That just has to work. My S20 could do that. I would not have bought the S26 had i known that you'd removed that feature. I don't understand how you can remove existing features. This is a big deal. One rule of software is that you don't remove features in future versions! It doesn't matter what new fancy features do if you can't selectively highlight text in a text message to Cut Copy Paste etc. Please fix this in your UI release this summer. I'll be looking for it.
