Unbelievable Home Theater

We had a 16 year old Epson Home Cinema projector and it still worked as good as the day that we bought it. But, technology has changed a lot over the past 16 years and thought it was time to update to a new projector with the latest and greatest sound and picture technology. Given the great performance and quality of our old Epson Home Cinema, we decided to look at the new Epson products for our next home theater projector. We chose the new Epson LifeStudio Grand Ultra, all I can say is WOW. Within 15 minutes of taking it out of the box, we were looking at the most amazing picture we’ve ever seen from a projector. The resolution is unbelievable, even if you get really close to the screen, you can’t see any pixelization. The colors and picture are bright and sharp, the skin tones are spot on and the blacks are perfect. Even in a room that is filled with light, the picture and brightness rivals our 65” Samsung TV that we use for everyday viewing, and that’s out of the box with no adjustments at all. As we got into the set up, the features like Gemini are mind boggling and simple. For example, after we added our favorite streaming sites and got logged in, finding anything only takes seconds. Before we got this new projector, it would take as long as 15 or 20 minutes to find a show that we wanted to watch because we forgot which of the 7 or 8 streaming services that we have was showing it. Now we just ask Gemini to find the show and it’s displayed in a couple of seconds. Or you can tell Gemini that you want to see a horror movie for example and it’ll bring up several to choose from. That’s not even close to what all Gemini can do, but it’s the features that we use most often. The WiFi connectivity is easy and flawless, we’ve yet to have any pixelation or buffering. We’ve watched movies, basketball games, the Indy 500 and they have all been a perfect picture. I’m also extremely impressed with the built in Bose speakers. The room that we have our projector in is about 16’ X 20” and the sound is really quite impressive. I could really go on and on about how happy we are with our LifeStudio Grand Ultra, matched with a good quality UST ALR screen, you won’t find a better home theater in any price range.
