My mom loved the Aura frame I gave her as a gift for Mother's Day. My sister and I are now out of the nest, so the Aura frame has been a great way to bring more connection to our lives and to help my mom display her thousands of photos. I look forward to purchasing one for myself soon, too!
Our two sons live on opposite coasts while my wife and I live towards the middle. The boys and I bought the Carver frame as a Mother’s Day gift. It’s a perfect and easy way to share photos. Especially because we became grandparents a month ago!
Overall I love this frame. I bought one for my parents and liked it so much that I bought another one for our home. The screen is bright and clear from all angles at all times of day.
I do wish the app had a couple more features to manually control the frame though. If it had these features I might Litter my house with them. 1. We keep our living room pretty dim at night which trips the ambient light sensor to make the frame think it should shut off. Having this level be adjustable would be great. 2. If more control over the light sensor isn’t possible, at least allow for more customized schedules. (E.g. on in the morning every day, off during the day during weekdays but on during the day on weekends, off at night every day) 3. Manual control of the brightness of the screen. 4. Provide a thumbs up/thumbs down on the intelligent pairing so it can learn how to pair photos better. 5. Ability to set up separate albums (e.g. landscape shots or summer time/holiday pics)
I do not yet have my own Aura, but have gotten 3 family members an Aura. It is so easy to share photos with family. I have had no issues with the App and it is easy to keep track of each frame in 1 app. The picture quality is great as well.
