Looks great but not fun to build.

This was NOT fun to build at all. The directions were not very well done which made some steps difficult to complete - especially the roof. Halfway through I decided to sell it when it was done. However, it looks very nice once complete and it fis right in with my other LEGO convertible cars.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great - one of the best Lego cars

This is an amazing model of an iconic car. The build is somewhat difficult and I really had to work at some of the steps to get them right. What was unique about this model was that the entire front of the car hinges forward like a real jaguar XKE to expose the engine in the front suspension and the convertible top is constructed of a complex frame structure of Lego parts and a black material so that you can actually fold the top down like a real Convertible top and put it back up. This is something I've never seen on any other model I've built of a convertible. An absolutely gorgeous product when fully built

Let me start by saying the model looks amazing. The deep green is a nice color. But oh my, getting there has been the most miserable Lego building experience in a rather lengthy building career. This build is ZERO fun, and all the little pieces hiding in the 'new & improved' packaging is a frustrating side quest to boot.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Was not disappointed with this model. Excellent build. I felt very unique, all components work, doors, trunk and hood. If there is ever a dream car in my real life, this would be it.

Worst set I have ever built

Like all the other reviews call out, this thing is junk. Multiple pieces snap into other unsupported pieces and cause entire chunks of several legos to pop right off. Some pieces with 4 pegs snap onto only 2 peg slots and then have pieces layered on to it. Based on the reviews I've seen, Lego is going to come out and say I need to watch a video or get help. This is my 20th set of primarily vehicle icon and technics and I've only had these kinds of issues with 1 other set. It's more trouble than it's worth.

I have built lego for years. Small sets to big sets. Picked this on up to add to the other cars. Extremely disappointed in the built. Extremely fragile parts don't line up instructions are hard to figure on placement. One of the worst sets i have

It must have been disappointing to build your set while feeling it's quite fragile. If you don't mind revisiting your set, we'd suggest double checking it for any pieces that are slightly off from where it's meant to be. This is a great model. Sleek line with great curves. The convertible top is a great touch. It was a fun build. Looks great on the shelf.
