Disappointed

Was excited about building this set. Snoopy has always been a part of my life. This was the most frustrating set I have built to date. When assembling would easily crumble into pieces when trying to attach sides and roof. Then both turn plates to attach the ears were defective (I have replacements coming). They are currently taped on with double sided tape. So disappointed ☹️
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So cheap this is the absolute worst set i have ever put together snoopy’s dog house is a nightmare to put together i had to end up building the campfire one do better lego!

Nightmare to Put together

Thought it would be cute and it was. But when I would try to put parts together, other parts would fall apart. This happened constantly. Worse than a knock-off! I had to replace a couple of pieces, too. Sorry to have to report this. Definitely for show only—IFF you can keep it together.

Cute but disappointing to build

I watched and waited for months to buy/build this set. Snoopy is cute and was fun to build. The house is so fragile I'm afraid to move it. I expected a sturdier and more complete build for a set of this price and skill level. But as a Snoopy fan, I would buy it again just for him.

Really?? You can do better.

Of the 25 LEGO sets I have built in the past few years this set is the worst. It seems that every time I look at this it falls apart. Some of these incidents have been spectacular. I could go on and on about this. If you buy this set be ready for some surprises.

I was so excited for this set, but it left me very disappointed. It feels cheap and falls apart easily, not very structally sound. The doghouse itself is the best feature of the set. Not worth the money.

The chance to alter builds is appealing so at least it feels like play, even if it isn't. This was a great addition to my collection of childhood favorites and I am please with my purchase.

Technic Axle Would Go Far!

I loved putting this set together for the most part. I thought steps 5 - 8 were a bit odd and redid them several times to ensure I did it correctly. I could still see the technic axle unlike in the softcopy instructions and the online instructions. But, once I got Snoopy together, it was really cute. I'm a very big Snoopy aficionado. He's probably my favorite animated character next to Mystery Inc.
The biggest issue for me was Snoopy sitting on top of the doghouse. Other reviewers have also mentioned this problem. I think Lego would have been wise to use a Technic Axle 3 or 4 (part #4519 or #3705) to properly secure Snoopy to the top of the doghouse. After completing the entire set, I took it to show my wife and within ten minutes Snoopy had fallen off twice only to die a miserable death on the floor.
Thankfully, I have watched enough medical shows that I was able to put Snoopy back together again. I wanted to take this to my classroom in August, but not before figuring out a way to secure Snoopy to the top of the doghouse using a Technic axle.
I still very much enjoy the set and am so very glad Lego finally decided to create a Snoopy set.

We're so happy to hear you enjoyed your building experience although it must be frustrating when Snoopy keeps falling when moved. We would suggest making sure all pieces are tightly pressed together as there may be a piece slightly off from where it's meant to be.
