Mammoth Backhoe

A great addition to the Lego City Mammoth construction sets. Scales quite nicely with the tipper lorry from set number 60467. The build is not complicated, yet has some good features including a battery pack under the bonnet and working hydraulic rams for the excavator bucket. This set also includes a bit of rubble and a new type of boulder that can hold a gem inside making for a fun play feature. Unfortunately, this set does not have a printed construction logo, it's a sticker. Addition, this set should have had offset tire sizes, much like the tractor set number 60498.

it has stickers! why did this have stickers? a smaller and less expensive Lego city tractor had prints and not stickers. why does this have stickers?

Solid product minor gripe

Fun building process, wonderful design, and overall a good kit. My gripes are personal. I would have preferred a ratchet instead of a ball joint for posabilty, and the cab is a bit loose.
I would recommend this to a friend!

If your set seems like it's not very sturdy, the best thing to do is double-check your build. Sometimes there may be a piece just a little off from where it should be. You’ll also want to make sure that all the pieces are pressed tightly together (except the gears, which need some extra room to turn). Love the expansion on Construction series!

After the awesome Bulldozer, Excavator, Crane and Cement Mixer, we were wondering when the next construction vehicles were going to drop and this Backhoe did not disappoint!! Super fun to build, with enough little details, and having two movable scoops/buckets on each side is really great! My son and I are able to do many things with it while playing! We can’t wait for the Dump Truck and Front Loader later this summer!! The Construction vehicle sets are incredible and keep getting better!!
