Overall the build and set is fine, but there is one large misstep that is pretty disappointing for Shrek fans, and it happens to be the smallest part of the build.
Puss n Boots. The decision to phone it in with a minifig was not great. The scale for him is comically inaccurate compared to Shrek and Donkey.
It’s disappointing that LEGO took a beloved property and made such a glaring oversight. Maybe it wasn’t possible to get the scale right given the size of Shrek and Donkey, but it feels like a situation where if the scale couldn’t be done right, it probably shouldn’t have been done.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

90s kids nostalgia

This Shrek set is amazing and brings back so much nostalgia for 90s kids. The colors are vibrant, the details are fantastic, and it perfectly represents the three main characters from the Shrek movie series. A must have for any Shrek fan!
