I didn’t realize how much technic was in this build before the purchase. A little complicated at parts while building but within the last steps I made a slight error and now the platform won’t properly raise or drop down. At this point I’d have to take everything apart just to figure out what’s wrong.

Pretty good set. Most of the negative reviews I’ve read aren’t related to the set. Some people are upset about the inclusion of Red without realizing this set is for the 30th anniversary and based on the original red and green games, so this had nothing to do with the anime. I personally would have preferred youngster Joey instead of generic picnicker. I hope the Pikachu and Eevee remain exclusive for the price I’m paying. Fun build, great display, and the small side build for the minis is great if you are limited on space and want to just display the minis.
I have not built legos since i was kid, and i was blown away by the details in this build. The mechanical movement of the build was a impressive addition too. This build has made a great addition to my office collection
Very disappointing, For a 18+ set I want real Pokemon Characters, not made up ones. Where is Ash Ketchum, Brock, Jessie, James, Misty.....Instead i get reveal red and picnicker.
I have been building lego sets my whole life, nearly 26 years, and this set is by far the coolest and most fun to build one I've done. It's very unique in how it utilizes the different types of pieces and is honestly "challenging" at points, which makes it very fun for anyone who enjoys that. I wish I could build it again.
The build is okay, like most builds. I am frustrated after every build because of the poor quality of the QR codes printed on the instructions. Because the QR codes are printed so poorly, i spend more time and energy than is necessary to register each LEGO set and get the points. It kills the overall experience in the end, making me question the intentions of the company.
