This is my third PopSocket, first time reviewing. I am, by now, pretty brand-loyal. These things are STURDY.
I put mine on a hard-shell phone case, since I accidentally throw my phone at the ground approximately once daily. I regularly use the PopSocket as a fidget toy, popping it in and out and fiddling the grip part back and forth. It took a couple years of such abuse for me to finally put a tear in the grip of my first PopSocket (and it was still usable even at that point -- I just bought a new one for kicks). The adhesive base of the first PopSocket was so firmly attached, I just left it in place and plugged in the grip half of the new PopSocket. My second PopSocket was a "Snowglobe" style -- a great visual fidget element, and it got quite a few compliments in public as well. :)
I got my third PopSocket when I finally upgraded to a new phone. I've been using it (and abusing it) for a few weeks, and it seems to be just as strong and sturdy as its predecessors.
Aesthetically, the Opal print looks nice. It's a bit grainy, like it was printed at a lower dpi than I might expect, and it would probably look better with a glossy finish, but ultimately it looks just fine. I think it'll wear the inevitable future scuff marks quite well. I liked that I could choose a complementary color for the grip part (it looks very nice with Orchid!).
I'll absolutely be back for more if/when I tear the grip on this one -- maybe check out one of the neat new enamel tops. Thanks!
It’s exactly what you expect. Bored during dinner and don’t wanna make any human interaction? Whip your phone out and start spinning this amazing puzzle maze.
I've ordered a lot of popsockets and mounts. I love them all and the Gengar one is great, but it doesn't glow in the dark. Super disappointed because it was a large part of why I got this particular popsocket. There were a lot to choose from this time around and I narrowed it down to Gengar mostly because I thought it'd be cool to have one that glowed in the dark so I'm sad it doesn't.
Love it. The popsocket is honestly not that heavy at all. I have an iPhone 14 pro max. A thick protective case, a bedazzled camera protector and a MagSafe pop wallet and used this popsocket on my wallet. I’ve swapped cases and realized it was my case that was heavy. The popsocket is not that heavy. I’ve had this popsocket for two months and none of the pearls have popped off and it’s still in great condition. It’s super pretty!
