98X11L: Great Expectations Have Been Realized

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 98X11L was delivered exactly one month ago and replaced my Sony 85X950G. I am extremely pleased with the features and the cinematic quality of the images I stream over a number of different sources, including Netflix, Apple TV, Prime, Britbox, YouTube, etc. I especially like the clean start-up screen, the ease of adjusting screen brightness and viewing mode from the remote control, and the clean look of the chassis. Not everything is perfect, however. The screen is very glossy and thus highly reflective. The built-in soundbar is just okay. Hoping that the addition of the optional TCL Z100 speakers would remedy that shortcoming I bought three of those and one Z100SB subwoofer. (It can only handle a total of four satellite speakers, which is weird.) When they worked, they greatly improved the sound to where I was satisfied. However, I had to return them because they lost TV Wi-Fi pairing constantly, and the re-pairing process is a nuisance, especially in the middle of a movie. In the end, I used an AV receiver with a set of vintage traditional 5.1 surround system speakers. One other annoyance is that the stand feet are placed so far apart that I had to modify my six-foot TV cabinet. I didn't want to replace it, so I went to Home Depot and bought a 1"-thick shelving panel and cut it to the length and width to handle the TV, and painted it to match the cabinet. Still, overall, I'm happy I bought this TV.

The image and sound are from other planet really good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV are soo Good the design are perfect has a lot of apps , has Gemini , the resolution are very high , the colors are incredible vibrant you can talk to Gemini making very easy and convenient to use , the image quality is extremely good and looks very realistic , the sound are so good too you don’t need an extra sound system . I really recommend this TV

In 2020 I bought a TV that was then the latest and greatest. New technology in 2026 makes my old set obsolescent. My TCL was only recently delivered and set up, but so far I am thrilled. There are so many ways to adjust video. I think I’ve found the most pleasing settings for me, but would love to see recommendations from others. Colors and clarity are breathtaking. The blacks are so deep. Blooming so far has not been noticeable.
