It has been months, and most of the wrinkles of W11 and the Omen have been fixed. The pain and confusion some HPs fault, some my fault is mostly in the past and it is running fast cool and dependable. It also looks pretty lol. The connections on the back depicted in the set-up sheet did not match my model. The expansion slots were not clearly marked either in the literature or on the case, but i figured it out. Only one internal expansion which i used to connect the old ssd from my old computer. The other internal expansion is for a card off a mother board socket, definitely not clearly identified, and not practical, so, only one decent internal. It went to sleep and pretended to be dead after about a week in and it needed to be unplugged (not just turned off) for a few minutes before it woke up, and AI told me the regedit. I am not a gamer but the game hub or whatever it is called is lame. After all these years Windows, why can you not have all the controls and settings in ONE window or panel??? or at least something intuitive to lead a person to the right one. As it is, I have to ask AI to tell me which control or setting thingy i need to change. it is a labyrinth. I could list them all but I would have to write a book. But that is W11 problem, not necessarily HP. So, HP, good job, just polish up the quick setup with a diagram that is exactly the model you sell.... and follow up with fixing quirks in an intuitive online lane that is accessible. And for millions of consumers who buy Gaming computers so that they can get the best deal for a powerful computer, clean up that gaming hub thing so it works for non-gaming people. (the light settings for the case, for example, should not be hard to find?) Maybe i expect too much.

Great PC that handles lots of games with no issues especially the latest releases. The RGB fan lighting is a cool addition which you can customize. The pictures provided implied my computer would come with 2 top exhaust fans but mine arrived with no top fans. If you have spare 120mm fans I'd recommend mounting them on top to help cool your PC. One negative about this PC is its AMD Ryzen 7 G series CPU. It's a capable CPU but coupled with a 4070 Super, there's potential for bottlenecks with demanding games at 1080p (CPU temps can reach 70 degrees Celsius and above with certain games) so I would recommend this PC if you plan to play with higher resolutions such as 1440p or 4K. Overall this is a powerful gaming PC that gets the job done especially at higher resolutions.
