[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really impressed with this printer ! The photo quality is beautiful—colors are vibrant and prints look perfect. Setup was easy, I love the touch screen, and I especially love being able to print/scan directly to and from my phone ! It’s great for regular prints as well. Inks a bit pricey, but it’s worth it if you care about photo quality!

Great daily printer too

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, this printer was extremely easy to set up. I think it looks slick on my desk. The functionality is typical for a printer, with bonus automation. I tried including a video to show that, also to give you an idea on volume when it prints but it keeps erroring. When you hold down the power button for a couple seconds, the control panel lights up and actually moves. When the printing starts, a tray slides out, to catch the papers. Also, It has two different paper trays, one for regular size paper and the other for cards/envelope types. The size of the printer is low profile and overall, typical dimensions. All other functions works as normal printers does. I printed out a photo on regular printer paper (on accident), but it will give you an idea on quality of output! Only thing I would change is it is slightly louder than my old printer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve been using this printer for school projects and it’s honestly been great. The photo quality is super vibrant, and my kids love printing pictures for posters and book reports. The 11x17 option really helps us with bigger projects. Wireless printing is easy from our phones. Only downside? Ink goes fast and isn’t cheap. But for creative families, it’s totally worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the printer, only issue I have is the wireless aspect. Prints wonderful photos and scanner is always a wonderful plus. Been able to clean up old photos and reprint them, absolutely love it. Have no looked into how much cartridges are but hope they are reasonable for the money!

Fast, vibrant photos from this painter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently started using this Epson Expression Photo XP-980, and I’ve been really happy with it so far. Setup was surprisingly quick and straightforward thanks to the touchscreen, and connecting to my WiFi was easy. The accompanying app also makes printing and checking ink levels simple from my phone. I’ve decided to use this on exclusively for printing photos or anything with photos, as that’s where this printer stands out best. Photo prints come out sharp and vibrant, especially on good quality photo paper. The 6 color ink system really seems to makes a difference in depth and detail. And it’s fast! My old printer would take ages to print photos and this one is quick. Ink isn’t the cheapest, but I’m not using it often so it will last, and the print quality makes it worth it. Overall, it’s a great printer for photos and image based print projects.

There is a learning curve but prints beautifully
on March 2, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I REALLY like this printer, even with some of the learning curve issues. I am using it for art prints, casual printing, and stickers. The size fits well on my side table and so thrilled to be wireless so I don’t have a web of cables running over to my desk.
The good:
It’s very easy to set up, the ink is easy to change and monitor.
Generally connecting wirelessly has been totally painless and general printing is a breeze. So far the color and print quality are wonderful when I can get the settings right.
I am excited to continue dialing in my print setting for even better results.
The complicated :
I have yet to fully successfully print on glossy paper, the settings are not always correct and it will drag roller marks through the print image.
There are multiple places to input setting for print. I was using the settings on the printer and having no luck with good quality prints, but editing in the print settings in the computer (paper size and type) yielded much better results. I don’t know if I have to change both printer and computer setting to match every time but I have been so far.
Some of the paper settings on the computer don’t match the actual paper. I bought epsom brand presentation paper which has an exact setting match when printing. I cannot print successfully on this paper so far, it comes out heavily over inked and very wet.
Using the back tray is difficult, I can’t load the single sheet in ahead of time and have to wait until the printer tells me to load it- which would be fine if it worked then, but typically after I follow instructions the printer will just spit my paper out without printing with an emphatic “print complete” message and I will have to do this 4 to 6 times for it to take. This could absolutely be operator error, but I swear I’m following everything to a T.
There are two trays in the front of the printer and it took me multiple error messages of incorrectly loading the wrong tray to actually find it.
All this being said, I really like this printer and will continue to use it heavily. I think there is a learning curve with setting and the print function for the large format back tray and am confident given more time I will figure it out.

Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This photo printer has been good so far. It is a bit in the larger side but, I think that is expected with all the features.
The set up was extremely easy, and instructions were very clear. It took me about 5-10 minutes to unpack everything and install the cartridges. And another 5-10 minutes to turn it on connect it to my WiFi, download the app and begin using it. You don’t need to be tech savvy to use this especially with the app.
Unfortunately my paper has not arrived and I have yet to test out how it handles paper printing. However, I did use it to scan some tax documents to myself and it was super simple and performed well.
Overall I’m very pleased with this product and I think I will get good use out of it
