Love this new machine. Has great suck power and the lights make getting everything picked up easy. Battery lasted long enough for me to do almost my entire 2600 square foot house (and I was under and around things I usually skirt but could see this time with the light) of both tile and area rugs of varying heights and fibers. Easy to empty dust bin - much easier to use than the Dyson it replaced!

Highly impressed with performance of the (2) two FURGUARD units Santa brought me! One for upstairs and one for downstairs. Use daily and truly amazed with the thorough job the unit does. The performance brought tears to my eyes and a smile to my face!

Strong Suction Without the Cord Drama

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell PowerClean FurGuard 280W has honestly been a lifesaver for me. Being a new dad means dealing with a lot of messes but since this vacuum is cordless I don't have to worry about outlets or twisted cables. I just grab it and go. It's light and easy to move around which lets me go from cleaning the living room to the car without any hassle.
The suction is strong and it's handled everything I have tossed at it, including pet hair, crumbs, spills, and dirt. I wasn't sure if it could keep up with the constant messes of family life but it has constantly impressed me. The headlights are super helpful, they help me see any dirt, dust, or messes that I would have missed. The stand alone design is great for when you need to stop in the middle of cleaning without having to prop it up against the wall.
The fact that it is so versatile is what I really love the most. It can be used as a regular vacuum for larger areas, then switched to handheld mode with accessories for smaller tasks like car cleaning or cleaning messes off tables. The construction is sturdy, the handling is great, and it doesn't take up too much space.
The battery drains in about 15 minutes on turbo mode or longer tasks which is the only downside. But overall the battery is more than enough for daily messes.
I'd definitely recommend this vacuum to any parent looking for a cord free vacuum that is lightweight and easy to use but tough enough to tackle the mayhem of family life.

Compact but still powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is great! I have two kids and two dogs and they are constantly making messes, the kids with food and the dogs with their hair. I love the light on both of the attachments. It shows me where the dog hair and food mess is very well. It's very easy to maneuver under chairs and table without losing suction power. The battery life is pretty good as well. The vacuum itself is pretty lightweight so I don't have any issues moving it around. It's convenient to use as is or as a handheld vacuum for messes on countertops or appliances. There's even an extension wand for the handheld to reach cobwebs and dust on ceilings.

Pulls dog hair off of carpeting! Using lowest suction level dog hair is vacuumed up promptly. Does not take more than a few minutes to fill the dirt cup. Quiet. The crevice tool is cleverly designed with a pull down brush. Parts fit well together. It would be nice if the battery had more capacity, but at this price point that might be hard to do. Overall, a nice little dog hair vac.

My Honest Take as a Pet Parent

At around 7 lbs, it felt lightweight yet sturdy, and I appreciated how easy it was to maneuver around furniture. The motor is strong enough for carpet, hardwood, upholstery and it picks up hair and fine dust well. The magic is the FurFinder tool with built-in headlights—it lights up fine strands of pet hair you'd otherwise miss. I've noticed it pulls up nearly everything, even embedded hair I've resigned myself to living with. One of my favorite features? The self-cleaning brush roll. No more manually cutting off my long hair wrapped around the brushroll. The self-standing design is very convenient. Mid-clean, I can just park it upright anywhere (even in the middle of a room) without leaning it against something or it falling over. On a single charge, you get up to 50 minutes of runtime in Eco mode—enough to clean multiple rooms in one go. Emptying the bin is simple—no messy popping open nozzle or dust flying out. The pull-out dirt tank design is a big plus. And it’s intuitive to use. The power button, mode switch are all right where your thumb naturally rests. I would definitely recommend this vacuum, especially to fellow pet owners. It’s made my cleaning routine faster, less annoying, and more effective.
